Friday: Since I didn't get much done yesterday other than shopping, today was my day for cleaning up the apartment. I cut up the vegetables for dinner, did the dishes, vacuumed, and made the goulash. This time around I added two bell peppers, two packages of pork (one sweet, one hot), and I mostly eyeballed the spices. It came out great! We continued several episodes of Trailer Park Boys, and I got to bed well before Julie did.
Thursday: my usual work-week resumed. For dinner, Julie used the leftover broccoli I'd made and made a cheese and chorizo sausage casserole. For a change of pace, we kept to our own devices, and after dinner I played more Endwalker. My session took me from a stealth sequence in the snow to the assault on a tower in the wreckage of the enemy capital, which I stopped just short of completing before going to bed.
FFXIV is selling again, and I've redeemed an online friend's refer-a-friend code, although I think rewards won’t appear until I buy actual game time. (Awkwardly, we had to ban said friend from select button within a year or two of this, and I'm pretty sure they cut off all contact shortly thereafter.) Aether is completely locked out due to congestion, so I made a throwaway alt on Goblin long enough to check out Gridania (since I expect to start in a different city on my main character). I knew ARR took a lot of inspiration from WoW, but I wasn’t prepared for for this degree of similarity; these games could be cousins. Moving through menus or through the game world is just a hair more deliberate, and the UI aesthetic is pure PlayOnline; the only hiccup I encountered was that my control scheme flipped from keyboard and mouse to controller when I turned in my first quest, and my inverted mouse Y-axis reverted at the same time.

Saturday: at the Burns Dinner again, once more at Round Barn Ranch. I think I drove us, and it was far south of the area I'm familiar with.
