Friday: sea day. 19 My Time dining.

1250 - Solarium deck chairs at the forward edge of the ship, continued: This morning, we've just had breakfast at Windjammer Marketplace and rode the Abyss slide, which was underwhelming. About to get into the pool.

0044 - in bed: after last update, we did indeed get in the plunge pool for a while, followed by a dip in the hot tub. Julie had me go get my lunch next. (Which involved a walk to the opposite end of the ship and down several levels to the boardwalk, which was crazy busy. I picked up a Bavarian bratwurst and Sicilian sausage pair of hot dogs, plus potato salad, and I walked them back to the Solarium to eat while Julie returned to El Loco Fresh. I soon put myself in the plunge pool to wait for her to finish eating and come back, but after the two of us bobbed in the pool for a while, people started getting noisy, so we went for the hot tub. It turns out that Christian, the guy we spoke with on the KotW balcony, was the son of a woman in the hot tub, who impressed upon us how much she had enjoyed Disney cruises and how little she'd enjoyed Europe. Once we were hot enough, we returned to our room to clean up for dinner. It was another formal night, but before I got changed, I spent some time on the bed just playing Hearthstone, and Julie kind of napped with her head in my lap. I eventually got dressed and we returned to the line for the MDR. The bread and butter was excellent as usual, but the dishes tonight weren't my favorite: neither the shrimp cocktail nor the onion pie starter was all that satisfying, and the lobster was overwhelmed with butter more than I could handle. (I don't like the liquid butter used for crustaceans.) The Baked Alaska was great, though, and the head waiter talked with us about the GSS sailing they did to drop off the European and Indian crew members. We had such a good conversation, he brought over an invitation to attend a galley tour in the morning. Before that, we returned to our stateroom and drank the rest of the wine. (Pink Moscato: not as good as mango.) We went back to the music hall for the Temperature band, but I couldn't handle the audience catcalling and submitting awful requests, so we eventually came back to the room one last time. The ship is rocking more than it has at any other point in our voyage. Fun!

Wednesday: my work project continues, though I spent a large chunk of the day in training sessions regarding specific European ports and their attractions. Julie had to go into work, so I didn't get to the store like I'd planned. Otherwise: uneventful.
