Tuesday: spent the whole day at work shadowing Jason C. and typing up an email about our new service logging tools. Afterwards, we walked up to POPE for Latchkey trivia; got kind of a late start, but we still found a two-person table in our usual area. I had the POPEburger again, though I droppeed my knife halfway through my meal. This month, Julie named our team "Help Me, Stepbro, I'm Stuck On This Question." She was very tickled by this name. We struggled in a couple of the rounds, though, and ended up being overtaken by another two-player team, so we didn't win the candle they were awarding. Pretty fun music during the music round, though. We walked to Acme for more salad supplies and cat treats, thoguh they still didn't have enough of the chicken snacks that John prefers. I've taken to topping it with a little bit of the chicken Churu sauce to get him and Isabel to eat their portions. Once we got back home, I logged into WoW and did this week's raiding and Undermine activities. The game's in a very satisfying state right now.
Monday: didn't get to bed as quickly as I should have last night, but I got set up for work with ten minutes to spare in the morning. Pretty steady call volume today. The big Nothing Comes Close campaign just launched, but whether I remembered to wear my new branded shirt is a mystery since I never got on camera today. On a similar note, today was the last solar eclipse for 20-something years in North America, but since it snuck up on us with the cruise and the cats to worry about, I never tried to get time off, so I missed it. I'm not too bitter, since we got to see totality on the eclipse in 2017.
After my shift, I finished the chili and Julie had some of her cereal so we wouldn't need to get more than fries at trivia. It was just the two of us, and and we tried the pulled pork french fries this time. I far prefer the crab. We didn't have a great performance during Quizzo, and it was a tight game, so we were in no danger of dealing with a tiebreaker. On the walk home, Julie agreed that this week was a much better distraction than our failed trivia attempt last week. Next week, it'll be starting at 7 PM again.
Once we were home again, Julie and I traded bugs to finish up the gardening event in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and I soon found myself drowsing with John on my arm on the comforter. I got up to treat the cats, finished the pistachios while watching Balatro and Jackbox comfort-food videos, and then I posted this update.

Saturday: we foraged in lieu of having lunch before our trip to the store. Afterwards, Julie'd wanted to go to the gym, but she picked up a chill from chopping vegetables somehow and wasn't really in the mood to leave, so we played Civilization VI now that my laptop was back in working order. While this was going on, I snapped a cute photo of Cliff.

Sunday: we got back home again from our trip. I celebrated with a big photo of John.
Saturday: I voted early.
When I first got into World of Warcraft, one of my major goals was to complete the "Insane in the Membrane" achievement, which was notorious for being a monotonous, time-consuming, and frustratingly fiddly grind. I started this process in late 2010 or early 2011. While some of my friends donated some items to help me on my way, this was in general a solo effort: I spent a lot of time killing pirates, and I even leveled up a rogue just to steal the junk boxes that one of the steps requires. On April 8 of 2016, I finally got the last exalted reputation I needed to earn this achievement. My character could now wear the title: "the Insane".
Julie was disgusted by the entire affair.

Friday: today, Julie woke me up and had me make meatloaf with asparagus and potatoes while she went to get her hair cut at the new Snip & Clip that opened down the street. This is the shortest her hair has been since I've known her, as she’s donating to Locks of Love again.
We spent the afternoon playing more GTA: San Andreas.
At 6, we met up with Richard and Glen at Siam, a local Thai place that happens to be Julie’s favorite restaurant.
After coming back home, we played more GTA, and I got to bed at the relatively early 2:00 AM.
Thursday: mistimed my bill payments and overdrafted my bank account today.
