Thursday: a good day for catching up at work. We were expecting a plumber to fix the upstairs leak, but I guess the neighbor is away today, so they won't show up until the weekend. Napped on my breaks, and after work, Julie had her bocce league; she only played one game, but she was still out pretty late thanks to a slow trickle of people at the bar afterward. Once I was done working, I finished the taco soup for dinner, and with some brief check-ins on some other games (such as an awful round of Frozen Synapse for some reason), I went into the living room for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Main progress this week focused on trying (and failing) to find the Yiga Clan hideout northwest of the castle; I can find the point where they ambush me, and I found a passage into the depths where I located one of their strongholds, but there should also be a further holdfast where I can get another piece of the Yiga armor set. Since I kept striking out on that search, I just cleared more lightroots and shrines from the northwest to the north. I think I'm around 5/6ths done with this process.
Oh, I guess I should mention this is the period in which Kimmel lost his show over comments about the "martyrdom" of conservative commentator Kirk, and the discourse is melting down. It's an exhausting time to follow current affairs, and also horrifying.
Wednesday: I really thought I was going to get plenty of sleep when I went to bed at 11:30 PM last night, but I wasn't counting on being awoken at 3:45 AM by the slamming of the apartment door. It didn't occur to me that Julie doesn't leave for work on Wednesdays, so it wasn't until I noticed the time that it occurred to me that something was up. The noise had spooked Orange Juice, who was meowing from the hallway. Only once I'd checked the apartment did it occur to me that the window by my bed is less than ten feet from the door to the second and third apartments, so I probably heard one of my neighbors. Eventually, I fell asleep until the start of my shift.
Just before it started, though, I had a call from my mom: one of my aunts had unexpectedly died during the night. She'd been having health problems when we saw her in Colorado last winter, but I guess we didn't realize how severe the circumstances had become.
That dismal note notwithstanding, my last work shift was pretty easy. They asked me to cover chat support, so I didn't have to take any calls; on the other hand, I didn't get to do quite as much project-work as I would have liked. I finished my salad over my lunch break, and it was only during my second break that I felt the need to take a power nap. After my shift, we had the leftover potroast and continued our Bob's Burgers rewatch. I played a little bit of Vampire Survivors once I was done eating, and I played a little Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp once I returned to the office. Finally, I composed this update, though there were frequent interruptions to treat the cats.
Monday: no updates on my weekly project, which is a little concerning, but I got plenty of work done on our accounting project. I wore my new Radiant is the Blood of the Babboon Heart shirt to trivia with Phil, Nolan, and Megan, where we repeated our dinner order from last Monday. The questions were harder than usual this week, and we struggled through most rounds, but Julie was able to carry us with a perfect score through the first picture round. It wasn't enough, though, and we didn't place high enough for a reward in the end. After getting back home, I jumped into Hearthstone to clear out my quests before patch day tomorrow and start Arena/Duels runs so I can get bonus tavern tickets when those seasons reset.

Julie may have been out-of-town, as I prepared a late dinner of toasted-nut orzo for myself.
