Wednesday: Julie worked from home today, as usual. My work shift was going great, and then my new laptop arrived. Had to halfway disassemble my desk to get it set up, and I didn't do it right, so I spent my last minutes backing up data without being able to use my normal mouse or keyboard. Once I got out, I rushed to FedEx to drop off my outgoing hardware, then ran by the Philly Game Store to pick up a couple of decks of cards for the meetup. Coming home, I couldn't find any parking near the apartment, so I had to park in the old free lot four blocks away. Finished my share of the veggie pasta with feta, watched a few third season episodes of Buffy, then spent some time in the bedroom keeping Mim company. Since I had to stay up to make my flight in time, I caught up on WoW Timewalking with the Ulduar raid, did a bunch of other dailies, and then noticed it was like 2:30 AM, so I way past due to pack. Just plugged in my stuff to charge, then I'll shower, run the dishwasher, throw stuff in my suitcase, call my ride share, and wish Julie a pleasant weekend.
Monday: should I really be this surprised at how quickly the weather has turned cold? It felt like the summer heat would never end, but suddenly at my desk, I'm wearing multiple jackets, and both socks and slippers, and it's ridiculous.
Since my company had cruises scheduled to depart next week which were planning to visit Israel, we had a huge influx of calls today regarding the modified itineraries, and I got stuck on one such call for a while, but I was able to go back to my projects afterwards. I had my leftover pizza for lunch, which was silly since our Quizzo night at Stogie Joe's also comes with pizza. Nobody else could make it, so Julie and I tried our best, but we just couldn't muster the breadth of experience that these six-person teams could. We didn't even place this week. (We DID discover how much nicer the table works when nobody has beers in front of them, though. That place needs coasters badly, but our waters avoided that problem for once.)
I played a little bit of Pentiment today, but didn't make much progress.
