SATURDAY (2024 SB Meetup)
1356 After my update last night, I watched Jason play UFO 50 until around 345, after which we both went to bed... Where I played two rounds of Balatro on my phone, meaning I was up till like 445.

Today, I forced myself out of bed at 1145, but I'd still mostly missed breakfast. I had some Ritz crackers and a banana. I got my Hearthstone dailies out of the way and then some; Jason played the precursor game to Sweet Home. Looks like the other TV is playing some movie, so I might try some of this Katamari game that they've got going in the main room.

2228 People wanted to hit up the local lunch scene soon after my last update, so I pulled on shoes, and we walked to the Cabin, which had a menu themed around professions, as though it were the break room in a corporation. I had a pulled pork sandwich with a couple different sauces, which was great, but I had to eat it with a fork.

When we got back, I decided to make Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle happen, so I went up to the TV tower and started setting up. We had all the people we needed soon enough, but no batteries, so I walked to the store and bought some. After we hit the end of the first year, we left to check out some jank game (super genius vs antichrist, I think??) playing in the den, but Gary asked me to watch the potatoes, so I hung out in the kitchen for a while. When she returned, Minty and somebody else volunteered for potato mashing duty, so she recommended I notify everyone of dinner's approach. I once again sat at the central table, where I was soon joined by Cuba, Jason and Gary. Cuba eventually wandered elsewhere, but the three of us had a long conversation about church camps and similar oddities of upbringing.

Bachelor and his contingent had finally arrived during dinner, and he brought his deck over so we could play our round of Magic. While I took the first game, I made poor mulligan decisions and drowned in mana sources, and I couldn't keep up with his reanimation effects. Our match finished, I came to the main room for Cania's DJ set, and from the TV tower, I composed this update.

0223 After my update, I descended to the bar to hang out with Daphny and Miguel while drinking the last of their box wine, followed by a beer. As opportunity permitted, I grabbed Ritz crackers and summer sausage to try to offset the alcohol, but it wasn't much help. At the bar, I played out my Fallen London actions and neared 200 baseline Watchful while enjoying the music. When the set finally ended, we were going to take a break followed by Bingo, but I didn't anticipate the length of the break. I snacked on more crackers and chocolate, though only afterwards did I notice that it was a THC variety.

Bingo was five rounds with varying objectives. I'd collected ten fake bucks (mostly from making Daphny laugh), so I played two boards for five fake bucks each. In the fifth round, we were tasked with getting X patterns, and I called "Cactpot!" at the same time that three other players won simultaneously.

My new supply of bucks obtained, I returned to the main room as Jason tried to get the space-themed kisses in Chulip on the big TV. Once he'd had enough, I wanted to finish my drink and snacking, so I wandered into the sanctuary to hear Booji and Gary speculating about details about the Italian comic about erotic fairy tales. (We pondered the troubling circumstances of tree men and fish women.) By approximately 215 local time, we all split, so I came to the main room to see Cuba struggle with a tile puzzle in Obsidian.

Thursday: decided to pick up a hoagie from Newbold Cafe for lunch. (And I had the second half for dinner.) I was able to get the vacuuming done before Julie got home from her big overnight trip, and she was tired enough that we pursued our own interests for the evening. I finished my playthrough of Pentiment, though I suspect the achievements will show up on tomorrow's date since it was mostly after midnight. After posting an update on Select Button about the choices I'd made when I played, I went to bed as well.
