Thursday: back at work, and it feels cold in the apartment today. Barely touched trade sanctions, and a call at the end of my shift took up more than an hour of follow-up. After work, Julie kept serenading Goose with her name and forcing me to guess the tune. It turned out to be my phone's alarm. We had more of the goulash for dinner, with Julie watching Party Down while I had my weekly stream-watch while playing Final Fantasy XIV. (Finally got both viper and pictomancer to level 90, so I can start the next two Dawntrail role quests. I meant to play through the entirety of the 7.1 MSQ, but I barely made a dent in it.) After Lauren's stream ended, I switched over to the Castle Super Beast podcast, and between that and the gaming, I stayed up too late again. So unexpected!
Tuesday: is "sobbing on the sly, as they say" a funny expression? I must have thought so, because I burst out laughing as soon as I said it tonight. It was a night of Bob's Burgers and taco soup, and as almost always happens, I burned my tongue on my first bite.
My work shift was better than yesterday, but worse than Sunday, which was a product of what proportion of my day was taken up by phone calls. I am really dreading this coming weekend, because I cannot imagine it will be anything but calls, even if I'm supposed to be on chat support. During my shift, Julie got home and handed over a manila envelope Dad had sent with old Nintendo Power inserts and Magic: the Gathering posters that I'd they'd come across at home. This should be useful if I ever need an inventory of stars per level in Super Mario 64 and the entire internet goes offline.
John and Cliff have been super affectionate today. They just want to hang out near me, or lie on top of me, or get my attention, and it's super adorable.

Sunday: we watched some The Venture Bros. today! Was this the season finale for season 4? (It is: "Operation: P.R.O.M." aired on November 21, 2010. If seasons 1 through 3 established the show's status quo around the Venture compound, seasons 4 and 5 are the transitional era as things start going off the rails, and "Operation: P.R.O.M." feels like a culmination of everything the show has been so far and a salute to the things we'll leave behind.) I really enjoyed it, and I posted about how I couldn't wait to get it on DVD.
