Monday: enjoyed my first time using my new model of C-PAP device with distilled water. It works dramatically better than the old one did in that regard. Don't really remember my dreams, though. I got up at 7 and treated the cats before writing yesterday's entry. I logged right into work, and worked pretty thoroughly at clearing out a couple of follow-ups and a bunch of new groups for the upcoming week. Breaktime distractions included the Grinding Gear foray into the Heavyweight matches of the Arcadion and some old Jackbox vods. At lunch, I walked to the halal cart, where the guy from last time was training another new guy. I again made the mistake of putting my can of cola in the same bag, causing the sauce to spill; I also stopped into a corner store for a bottle of juice. Julie spent hours on the highway coming back home due to anomalous traffic and lane closures. Mom called right as my shift ended, and we confirmed details of recent mail delivery. Once Julie and I were both done working, we dressed for trivia and walked to Stogie Joe's, where the crowd was mercifully small. Christmas decor has all been removed, and we were seated in a back corner next to an older couple. We struggled with a lot of the questions this week, and ended up in fourth or fifth. I had a charred stromboli, but it tasted fine. Julie had geometric slabs of blackened poultry, I think, but she enjoyed it plenty. Between rounds of trivia, I exchanged emails with a friend who's been away for a while. Now I'm posting this update before bed, and I'm going to treat the cats/get my UmaMusume dailies done.
Sunday: an extreme cold front's making news all over the country, but we seem to only be getting a light dustinng of snow in Philadelphia. Call volume at work's starting to pick up enough that I spent a lot of time on chat support requests today, but otherwise I was still able to put a lot of time into my project. We're planning to start a schedule of going to the gym on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, but since we haven't been able to get there much this week, we made time for it today, as well. Julie walked over while I was still at work, since she didn't want to risk pushing back the dinner she was making. I got out of work just a little bit late, but I made it a quick trip. (I'm being reminded again that the Q key on my laptop keyboard is suddenly hard to press. The device is showing its age.) After a brief trot around a video of an Icelandic beach, I came back home to get cleaned up and eat. Julie had prepared sliced cabbage in the manner used for another sausage dish as the accompaniment for some bone-in chicken thighs, plus broccoli and garlic bread. We caught up on the two-part Ghosts Christmas special. Safe to say that we loved this, particularly the second half. Once we finished, we switched over to Julie's ongoing rewatch of 30 Rock, and I tried to clear out some Hearthstone quests that had been piling up. (The HS community's pretty frustrated with the state of the game right now. The game's designers, developers, and company leadership seem to be operating at cross-purposes without a lot of internal coordination.) Once I served all the cats their tuna, I returned to the office to download some Steam updates, watch some videos, and log into FFXI long enough to navigate from Selbina to Bastok for the first time in approximately 20 years.
Friday: couldn't get myself to wake up until late in the afternoon. I had a bowl of cereal for lunch, took a shower, did the dishes, and finally started on making pizza for dinner after 7 PM. I'd picked up a different crust than usual, but it was pretty good. Julie's puzzle board arrived, and she spent the evening working on her Christmas skeletons puzzle, though John kept lying on it, making progress difficult. I was finally able to make a little progress on my project, though not as much as I'd wanted.
Thursday: after that talk about videos Wednesday night, we decided to do our own things for dinner; I nearly finished the Outer Wilds LP uploaded by this YouTuber "Mapocolops". We had the last of my goulash for dinner, and Julie fell asleep in the living room, while I wrote a long post on Select Button about Ryan Veeder's Little Match Girl series of games.

Thursday: today was the official start of MAGFest 2017. I went to this with Jason and Jimmy and the other guys they'd brought together.
