Saturday: while I handled my usual chat support schedule at work, Julie braved the cold to get a prescription at Rite Aid before going to pick up her groceries. Afterwards, she planned to meet up with her friends to plan the trip they're taking to Europe next month. By th time I finished with work, she'd left, so it was just me and the cats for the evening. I ended up napping in the living room for a little bit. For dinner, I finished my share of the brothless cabbage stew. I watched a bunch of Day9's end-of-year Ask Me Anything video while finishing up the anniversary event in World of Warcraft. While I fell short on a few achievements and a bunch of unlockables that depend on timewalking currency, I was able to purchase everything that used the anniversary bronze tokens. Before I went to bed, I logged into FFXI long enough to use the log-in campaign points I'd won from activating my account before January 2nd to purchase the "Shantotto II" trust, which will make it a lot easier to get through the leveling process.
Thursday: everything took more effort today than it should have. I tried to pick up lunch for us, but Newbold Cafe was closed. After walking to a couple of different restaurants which were also closed, I finally got to Asian Fusion where we could place an order for pickup. After finishing lunch, I eventually got out the door to go shopping, but I made two mistakes: first, I should have left much earlier in the day. Second, I should have gone straight to the Snyder Acme. I tried to go to the Passyunk Acme first, and they were missing several items, so I wound up making a fruitless stop at Giant before giving up and going to Snyder like I should have. For dinner, I had more rice and curry, but I made the error of watching some Endwalker Let's Play footage while I ate, and I got invested enough that, even with some deliberate skipping over the slow parts, I was still watching videos through the middle of the night. I had other things I needed to do that didn't get done.
Wednesday: we resumed watching Bob's Burgers, but I kept falling asleep during our Civ VI game. Julie brought back the old ziti and onions dish we used to have, and I started a load of laundry. We reminisced about videos.

I played some Why Am I Dead At Sea today, probably trying to remember what it was that impressed me so much the first time I played it. It's a very solid little game.

Sunday: when I went to turn the Xbox 360 on, I was confronted once more with the red ring of death. My console has died again. It'll be more than a decade before I can play any of my 360 games again; as of 2024, I'm waiting for some kind of third-party retro console to come out before I try to replace that hardware.
