Tuesday: kind of a busy morning, so I couldn't start in on my new project as quickly as I would have liked. Still a pretty productive day; I even updated a date calculation tool I'd created based on some policy changes going into effect later this week. After work, I took out the litter, trash, and recycling, though it looks like one of our recycling bins wandered off after last week. We had the leftover stewed chicken and rice while watching the new Poirot collection we'd ordered online. I'd entertained the idea of assembling some data for a post about trends in game balancing efforts in Hearthstone, but I couldn't justify the effort when I have other things I ought to be working on instead.
Monday: after finishing my last day of work before my weekend, Julie had Trivia, so I finished the leftover pizza she'd brought home while watching YouTube videos about Edgar Wright's films. Stemming from the ongoing discussion about LMG3 on Ryan's discord, we had a lot of talk about elemental affinities, both traditional and otherwise. A couple of folks in my FFXIV discord had announced plans for an in-game wedding, so I went about collecting appropriate attire: finishing the seasonal Valentione's Day event, cashing in some Manderville Gold Saucer points, dropping more than 500,000 gil on a few key articles I found on Eorzea Collection, and (finally) starting the Nier raid series. While I did assemble an outfit I'm pretty pleased with, most of the outfit is using appearances I already had, but it's still nice to have more options for the future. As if I didn't already have enough disctractions, I also started downloading Diablo 3 one last time before I went to bed, as they're about to release what will probably be the final update for the game, and for all of its problems, I did enjoy the time I spent with Carl and friends in there. I'd like to send it off properly.
