Saturday: although Saturdays can be rough because they demand more of me in terms of chat support, the latitude with which I can approach my projects makes up for it. Still trying to coordinate the FAM cruise for next month. For brunch today, Julie made eggs, hash, and toast, which I ate early enough that I just had some chips and cheese for lunch. Once I was done working, we had the leftover veggie pasta, and we continued our Poirot marathon. (Tonight, we finally saw again the episode in which five people wearing Commedia dell'arte costumes are the main suspects in the murder of their sixth.) I couldn't focus very much, so the only thing of note I accomplished today was to break into the new bag of cat food and refill the front room stockpile, and the cats were all very excited. Julie, meanwhile, has finished her 1990s-themed puzzle and moved on to a challenging-looking rainbow-spectrum butterfly puzzle. To give myself the best opportunity to make progress on my projects tomorrow morning, I'm going to go to bed early tonight, I think.
Friday: I had planned to make meatball pasta after work, but Julie wanted to use up the rest of the asparagus from Sunday, so she cooked this simple buffalo chicken and rice combo to go with it. Easy, and yet it tastes fantastic. Always kind of feels like we're getting away with something when she makes it. After playing Civ VI in the evening, I finished my night watching an in-depth Disco Elysium playthrough.
