Tuesday: for once, I was up at 9:30 on my day off, despite not managing to get to bed until after 4 AM last night. I logged into World of Warcraft to try to overcome the capstone challenge for delves, the defeat of the boss monster "Zekvir," and I was able to defeat it on level "?" difficulty. There's still a level "??" challenge that I should presumably be able to complete before the new season starts in early March, which is the last obstacle to obtainining a shadow-infused dirigible which will be unobtainable after that deadline. The servers went offline less than an hour after my success, so I watched the weekly Jay Essen Plays stream, but it seems his microphone was muted for the entire session, so I was just watching a silent video while I finished up my quests in Hearthstone. I had more salad for lunch, and in the afternoon, I went to the gym by myself while Julie finished up her workday after returning home around 3 PM. We planned to try a new Quizzo tonight up at Santucci's, so we had a quick subway ride and a short walk to get to the restaurant. We found seats in the bar and ordered what amounted to a supreme pizza and a small order of boneless wings, which reminded me of the chicken I used to get at Wingstop back in Wichita. Four rounds of quizzo on the theme of Black History Month: a round of questions, a picture round, a music round, and a second question round. We expected to do poorly, but we ended up coming in fourth place. After riding the subway back home, I gathered up the litter and took out the trash. The litter scoop had broken two weeks ago, but Julie found a second one in the basement. It was identical to the first. Less than a minute after I started using it, its handle snapped, too. I guess I'll pick up some cat supplies when I go shopping tomorrow. In the interim, I'm going to log into WoW to start the new "Undermined!" story content that released today.
Sunday: I found my work shift went about as well as usual. Did my usual sandwich for lunch, continued watching videos of Preach do ARR patch content on breaks, and ended my shift just as Julie had finished prepping dinner. She was making that broccoli cheese soup with croutons again, and it was pretty excellent. I had an online appointment with some people to coordinate efforts on a project, and I found it exceptionally productive. Despite having logged into Github on at least two prior occasions, I think today marks the first occasion on which I've actually committed a file update. I'm learning a lot about troubleshooting activity errors in Inform 7 and preventing runtime errors in Vorple. I arrived at my digital appointment an hour early, and I stayed three hours late; I'm looking forward to similar efforts next week.
Saturday: my day started pretty slowly. After adding the previous week of updates to this website, I did a slight reorganization in the office: the printer went onto my crate of roleplaying books in the corner, clearing space for me to finally put out my electric keyboard I picked up last year. With the keyboard out of the closet, I was able to move a box of computer parts under my desk into its place, which meant I could reposition my trash can to have more room for my feet when sitting at the desk. I realized I could move my laundry basket with dirty clothes under the desk, and John's a big fan of this since it gives him a cozy and smelly nook to sleep in, which he seems fond of for some reason. After Julie got back and passed out, I spent too much time leveling up alts and my wrists started to hurt, so I've been wearing my wrist braces a lot more this week. All the typing from the data entry aspect of my project has a clear drawback, but it's so much better than not being on the phones...
