Wednesday: in the morning, I caught up on some videos I'd left unfinished while playing the current Hearthstone event. At noon, I drove to the store for groceries, and while it was a little damp, it was a cool 61 degrees Fahrenheit. Perfect weather. At the store, I picked up the stuff I needed for the week, but I had to come back to the nearby store for a prescription I'd forgotten to get earlier. Then, it was back to Taco Bell to pick up lunch. The rain picked up just as I brought in the groceries, and it seems the roof over the kitchen addition has developed a leak. After lunch, I ran some laundry before eventually starting the dinner prep. I was making scalloped potatoes, so I peeled the potatoes, chopped them into eighths before processing them, and sliced an onion and a ring of sausage. I thought I gave myself enough time, but it still ended up being almost 8 PM by the time the food was ready. We watched more Buffy while we ate. The other thing I did tonight was to finish the first Rise of the Golden Idol DLC chapter. Excited to see what the next one brings!
Tuesday: another big day of work with too many phone calls, but not quite as bad as yesterday. We had to take out the garbage before we ate dinner, and for a change in pace, Julie ordered a combo box meal from this Korean Mexican place to be delivered. She had all the wings, while I had three out of the four dipping tacos. While I found the tacos pretty tasty, I still prefer those from Cantina Los Caballitos. We watched more Poirot and I did a little bit of Hearthstone before checking back into Fallen London for the latest exceptional story ("Slobgollion", I think?).
Sunday: took an abbreviated trip to the gym in the afternoon, as we were meeting up with three others for a hockey game: Detroit vs Philadelphia. Amber picked us up and we drove to the Live! casino hotel, where they parked for her and she checked in. I liked the floral animation on the valet parking overhang; it felt like a 90s screensaver, writ large. Gorgeous. Then we walked over to the Wells Fargo Center and got seated right after the game started. While I was interested in the game, mostly for how invested Julie seemed to be in Detroit outperforming Philly, what I was really looking forward to was the idea of getting to enjoy some crappy stadium food with everybody. But Julie wasn't interested in eating, and she declined to accompany the group when Phil wanted to walk around the stadium at the halfway point. I came along, but their only goals were to pick up some beers and check out a merch store with a life-size Gritty prop. I knew I should just buy food for myself, but some combination of analysis paralysis and executive dysfunction reared up to prevent me from doing so, and I spent the rest of the game in a sour mood as a consequence.
Anyway, Philadelphia won, but not before Detroit enraged Julie by pulling their goalie. I'll admit, I don't watch a lot of hockie, but I've literally never seen a game where this has actually paid off, and I've seen at least four games in which they tried this move. After the game ended, we made our way outside, eventually winding up at the Xfinity Live! Philadelphia entertainment venue. I once again got my hopes up for food, but the place turned out to be something like a food court for bars, and nobody else was giving off vibes like they wanted to stay, so I just stayed with the group... and yet, we wound up hanging around long enough that I could have eaten, if I'd just put an order in when we arrived! I felt defeated.
After we came home, I had a salad for dinner.

Thursday: we had a weird exchange on facebook. I posted that I couldn't find a razor, and Julie posted that she was glad somebody showed us that bear on a unicycle.
