Friday: making decent progress at work finally, but I think I'm still doing some work over the weekend. When Julie got home from the courthouse, she felt like she needed to do some catch-up on her work laptop, so we planned to follow our own pursuits. I talked with David, and while I ate my leftovers, I got back into Esoteric Ebb. And I finished it! It was a pretty good time. And then I looked at the clock and it was already 5 AM.
Thursday: started my day off with a trip to the dentist, where the sensory experience was a little bit overbearing. After getting home, I left to go shopping and pick up Taco Bell. I don't remember what Julie made for dinner, but I probably played a significant amount of Baldur's Gate 3, I think.
Wednesday: after my update last night, I was feeling a little prickly in my sinuses, and this morning confirmed: I have an upper respiratory tract infection. So far it's just been a lot of nasal congestion, but mark my words: my cough will worsen over the next week, and it will stay with me until June at a minimum. I hate this.
At work, I had a bunch of meetings about our department resuming some review practices that had been suspended during COVID, so I did not get as much time on the phones as I wanted; I'll have to take some calls on Sunday to hit my target for the week. Not a bad workday, though, sickness notwithstanding.
After work, Julie confirmed she's feeling about as bad as I am, and since I was already working on something for Moondrop Isle, we decided to do our own things for the evening. Because I'm feeling so poorly, though, I did not accomplish as much as I would have liked, and for that matter, I'm about to go to bed—but first, I preordered Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail successfully.
Monday: back to work. The weather's been nicer, so we turned the heat off and had a lot of windows open. The water situation in Philadelphia was still concerning, so Julie had me go pick up a few more bottles just to be safe. She made up spaghetti for dinner since we couldn't be certain we'd have water to use for cooking later in the week, and before bed we took all the trash out.
