Wednesday: today was the second half of our last-minute project at work, which ended just before my second break. The last hour and forty five minutes were the last calls I'd take in Resolutions, since my last two days will be entirely on chat support. Julie spent a bunch of her free time cleaning up in anticipation of somebody investigating a possible leak in the basement this week. She made chicken and broccoli casserole for dinner, and once I finally got out of work myself, I came to the living room to eat while we worked our way towards the end of Buffy. Once we'd had our fill, I had planned to get back into FFXIV, but I got caught up in Save Data's playthrough of Immortality.
Tuesdsay: went through a slight shift in responsibilities at work to balance my calls and project time. Upside is that my shift bids may be less prone to erratic fluctuations, but the downside is that there may be days like today when I get a long call at the end of my shift and don't get out until 30 minutes after I was supposed to leave. Since today was garbage day, I gathered up the litter and took out the trash. Julie put together the sausage, cheese, and broccoli casserole we haven't had in a while. I got sucked into watching some old sitcoms that Julie was watching, and the evening ended before I knew it.
Sunday: before our trip to the store, I asked Julie if she wanted to have lunch somewhere, and she turned it back around on me since I'm the one with a birthday coming up. The appropriate counterplay would be a regrettable suggestion, so I nominated IHOP. "It's hard for a chain restaurant in Philadelphia." It was, predictably, a minor catastrophe: too many customers, too few employees, long waits, and my sandwich had problems.
News and cell phone alerts were circulating to report that a chemical spill upriver meant Philadelphia water might be compromised, and at the store, a guy at the door was announcing to everyone that they were out of bottled water, and that the in-store Starbucks was closed. My flavored water preferences were unaffected, so we could still get a decent supply along with lunch stuff for the week to come, plus as much litter as we could carry, but the lack of shopping carts meant multiple trips to the car.
I don't remember whether it was Saturday or Sunday, but for one of our dinners, Julie had baked spaghetti squash halves filled with feta and cherry tomatoes with balsamic vinegar, and it was quite good.
