Monday: we're still messed up about Koop. I did all my calls today (minus a 20 minute meeting and a 20 minute follow-up period), so I only need to do about three hours of calls tomorrow. I handled my time on the phones alright, but on my breaks and lunch, I kept thinking about how Koop was usually the first one to trot up to meet us when we came home from somewhere, or how she'd be the one to actually greet strangers in our living room, or how I tried to adapt MIA's Paper Planes so that the chorus would go, "Meow-meow-meow-meow, and purr, and lie in a hallway," which was a pretty accurate description of what Koop would get up to in 2010. I kept trying to put youtube on to distract me, but nothing holds my interest. When Julie got home, she confired she'd been basically handling things the same.
Not in much of a mood for April Fools, but I did boop some people on tumblr, and I got some boops back. A bunch of Joseph Anderson's fans thought he'd finally drop his Witcher 3 video today, but that didn't happen.
We decided the only reason we could stand to go to trivia tonight is because none of our other teammates planned to attend, so we wouldn't be asked how our weekend went. We had the rest of the spaghetti for dinner, and then once we walked over and got seated, we pretty much just talked about Koop, which was maybe not the best choice for keeping our composure at the bar. It turned out that Jimmie's understudy never showed, so we just had some crab fries and came back home, where I was too fried to do much other than try Galaxy Trucker on steam. I thought I'd switch to FFXIV afterwards, but it's undergoing maintenance, so I switched to WoW to relist my auctions and catch up on the new Noble Garden event.
IS THE COUGH STILL HERE: YES
Saturday: the only part of April Fools I enjoyed today was when the FFXIV and World of Warcraft pages on reddit swapped layouts, so players of both games got into the spirit by doing some creative cross-posting. Julie and I did go by the store, and then she and Phil went out to watch a basketball game while I worked on my laptop. I didn't have a proper spudger tool, so I scraped up the case getting it open, but I did remove the existing fans, only to discover the replacement fan seemed to be missing a plate. No matter which of the two internal fans I replaced, the "struggling fan" sounds the laptop makes were just as persistent, so put both originals back in place and closed it up until next week. I wound up spending a lot of time listening to the extended 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim soundtrack before just throwing the whole thing into my unlisted YouTube music playlist.

Sunday: we spent Easter with the extended family with Sherry and Kendall and the extended family in Clearwater. Joe and Kelly were there with baby Adalyn, and we all had our coldest Easter egg hunt ever.
Saturday: went to dinner with Julie and the boys at Crutch & Biscuit near Douglas & Rutan. The place was packed, but I have no recollection of the meal. Afterwards we retired to J's for pool and drinking like usual. For some reason I needed to try something new, so I had a Moscow mule. I don't think I liked it very much; I have yet to find an alcoholic beverage which I would pick over a milkshake, given the choice. Maybe moscato. Anyway, at one point we scratched when trying to sink the eight ball, so Julie and Richard reveled in their win.
I played Invisible, Inc. for the last time before uninstalling it. I know in the abstract that it's smart game design to provide a strict limit to the undo-your-whole-turn mechanic that's used in this game and in Into the Breach. I realize that. It still makes me feel impatient and inattentive and stupid, because I have perfect information, so I should be able to anticipate every outcome, and I still mess up badly. For whatever reason, the stakes feel higher here than they do in ITB, so I found this too stressful to stick with.
