Wednesday: the nights have been bad lately. Keep thinking about Koop: how she'd always steal Julie's makeup brush. How she'd stalk toys when nobody was around and bring them to us in the other rooms, triumphantly crowing about her successful hunt. How she'd burrow under blankets to nap, and when I'd go to bed for the evening, she'd have moved to my side of the bed, and she'd curl up under my arm to sleep. I tried to make an album on facebook for her, but I need to get to my main computer to really sort through my old photos, so that will have to wait until tomorrow.
The weather continues to be rainy and cold, but at least work was decent. A supervisor asked me to share chat support responsibilities today, which was nice since I normally only get to do this on weekends, and it gave me plenty of extra time to catch up on the projects I couldn't touch yesterday. I ran short of bread for my lunchtime sandwichwes, so I had to make do with cereal and chips.
Isabel and Cliff have vet appointments tomorrow, but we're concerned about Cliff because he has been lethargic and hasn't been eating. After spending most of the evening experimenting with food, treats, and more tuna, we're thinking maybe he's got a toothache, because he perked up once we able to get some tuna liquid in him, and he kind of ate a couple of pieces. Walking to the corner store to buy the tuna in the rain was almost as bad for my cough as when I get a coughing fit in the shower.
We did find time to watch more Poirot and eat the meatloaf and mashed potatoes Julie had made for dinner; we're now more than halfway through the collection we'd purchased. Julie also received a new set of puzzles in the mail since she'd finished the last of those in the first batch she'd purchased. I played a little bit of Hearthstone to take advantage of the Window Shopper demon hunter metagame, and then I switched to Balatro since I had barely any unlocks on my profile yet. Hopefully tomorrow we get better news at the vet than we did last week, and we can stop stressing ourselves out over the cats.

Monday: work (and my project) resume as expected. At Julie's recommendation, I finished my portion of the cheeseburgers for dinner, which I supplemented with a big helping of the "mountain mix" trail mix I picked up at Acme on Saturday as a break from the peanuts I've been getting. I also made a point to get the litter and do the dishes, but when I finished, Orange Juice really wanted attention. I followed her into the living room so she could lay next to me while kneading on the elbow of the floor pillow the way she likes to, but I wound up falling asleep out there.

Sunday: trying to do yard work at Helen's house. Julie told me the plan this morning was to bag all the leaves in the yard, but wasps kept showing up thanks to a nest inside the old clothesline by the driveway. Julie thought we should get rid of some of the lower-hanging dead branches in the big tree that always hit us as we're trying to mow, but she managed to pull down an especially heavy one that gave her a big scrape on her forehead.

Saturday: while I slept, Koop sat on Julie's lap for about 45 minutes, per a comment she made on my facebook page. I replied that she'd been doing that more often lately.
