Friday: after Julie returned from her dental appointment, we drove over to Little Sicily Pizza 2 for lunch. I had one slice of the House Special (basically a supreme; pretty tasty) and fries. We got our groceries at Acme and came back home, and I have to admit, I appreciated that Julie did all the driving today. The traffic seemed intense.

Back home, Julie put away the groceries while I put the cat ramp back in the office after vacuuming both bedrooms. (I also had to clean a clog out of the carpet vacuum head.) In the afternoon, I played some Telling Lies in the living room until it was time to make dinner.

Cooking went well today. The only variation on the recipe I introduced this time was larger than usual macaroni pasta. Once the food was ready, we ate dinner while watching the latest episode of Ghosts followed by the new Fallout series. We got four or five episodes in before Julie started falling asleep, so I switched over to the FFXIV 14-hour broadcast, where they were mostly showing off graphical improvements for the parts that I saw. I also read today's update to KILL SIX BILLION DEMONS. The very first update after I started reading, which happened to be numbered 3-87 of book 6. Amazing serendipity.

IS THE COUGH STILL HERE? YES

2023

Wednesday: alas, the days of projects have concluded, and I'm back on calls. I had two that exceeded an hour each, the latter of which came in less than five minutes before the end of my shift. Julie had potatoes, meatloaf, and brussel sprouts ready for dinner when I finally got out. Meanwhile, Joseph Anderson's final 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim stream is more than 10 hours long, so even with accelerated playback speed and skipping some of the more predictable parts, I haven't gotten through the whole thing yet. I'm still making new decks from Festival of Legends whenever I get the chance.

Wednesday: while Julie took some of the cats to the vet today, they came back fine, and she snapped an iconic photo of Isabel after their return.

Saturday: in the evening, we met up with Scott and Jenny (and Tara?) for some Risk Legacy. In my own pursuits, I played Goat Simulator; it's silly. I also played Stacking, which I found a little disappointing.

Steam:
Stacking - Strike Breaker
Goat Simulator - Boulder of Death
Goat Simulator - Pedestrian
Goat Simulator - LOEK master
Goat Simulator - FINALLY
Goat Simulator - What is its purpose?
Goat Simulator - Devil Goat
Goat Simulator - Angel Goat
Goat Simulator - I can't believe that worked
Goat Simulator - Rymdskepp i Rymden
Goat Simulator - Goat Queen
Goat Simulator - Mattress Madness
Goat Simulator - Mile High Club
Goat Simulator - Dodge This
Spelunky - Jungle Jammed

Tuesday: we watched more Twin Peaks before Julie had to go to work. Carl called to let me know he’d taken the day off work so he could go to the doctor; I wound up leaving early to join him at CHESM. He and Emit played more Rift while Steve, Lylandra, and I discussed Dragon Age: Origin and its sequel, trading anecdotes about how different encounters and story sequences can play out based on the decisions each of us had made.

Later, we joined Stacey and James to play a game wherein we had to solve a puzzle involving crates. I have no recollection of this.

On the Interactive Fiction MUD, user Admiral Jota commissioned Speed-IF ToasterComp II. I couldn't figure out how to be funny, so I settled on "random" and "weird" and wrote the game The Epitome of Toastlessness. I have no recollection of any of this.
