Saturday: first day back at work after my weekend, but it was uneventful. We had leftover goulash, finished up the Fallout first season, and I played more Telling Lies. Did I fall asleep on the living room floor? I think I did.

Thursday: we'd taken the day off because Alex and Justina were going to be in town. After a bit more morning cleanup, we walked to Green Eggs for brunch, where I got a pile of chocolate chip French toast. We killed a little time back at home before taking the subway to Lombard-South, then walked to Philadelphia's Magic Gardens. Phil's friend had arranged for us to have free tickets, and after our friends showed up, we wandered through the environment, where bottles, bicycle wheels, handmade tiles, and other found objects formed an overwrought and overwhelming architectural space.
Oncew we'd had our fill at PMG, we stepped into a Starbucks for refreshment and to sit down out of the heat for a bit. I got Julie one of their lemonades, while I had a dragon drink, which turned out to be pretty good. Alex was itching to visit some kind of museum, so we walked a couple more blocks to the Liberty bell. That still wasn't enough for him, so he ran over to the National Constitution Center, and the rest of us parked on some benches to talk. From there, we took subway cars back to our apartment long enough to wash up before walking down Passyunk to Juana Tamale for tacos. We parted ways, but on our way home we stopped at the ice cream place, and I got way too much of that s'mores-style sundae.

Sunday: on facebook, Julie posted a photo of Isabel, Frank, and John sleeping together on a blanket on the sofa.

Wednesday: since Julie had the day off work, we spent the morning in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, struggling with missions in Las Venturas. She reached the notorious "destroy the machines producing casino chips" mission that had previously stopped me from finishing the game.
I boiled up a dozen eggs for future consumption, and we resumed watching Twin Peaks. Our favorite moment so far is Albert’s speech to Harry, though we’re pretty fond of all the FBI characters so far. While we watched we had a dinner of fish cooked with asparagus and mushrooms wrapped in foil with a dark sauce of thin consistency. Soy sauce, maybe?
I stayed up way too late messing with Tumblr style templates, considering that in the end I wound up sticking with one of the defaults.
