2025

Tuesday: a restful night, followed by a productive day. Didn't quite hit my goals, but I had an hour in a meeting with Carl and Karen to go over a presentation they were putting together. After work, we got changed and took the subway to Santucci's. We reused our POPE team name this week, and the theme was "death and taxes." Julie tried a cheeesteak for dinner, while I ate the pesto flatbread once more. While I like it, I decided the candied walnuts were maybe a little too much to make this my usual order. We performed strongly for the first three rounds, but during the final questions round, we were overtaken by a point and a half, ending up in second place. We had exactly ten minutes waiting in the subway to get back, but it wasn't too cold. Our subway car had a shattered divider, but I didn't grab a photo while we were standing next to it. Back home, I'm posting the updates I've missed for the past couple of days before I treat the cats and go to bed.

2024

Monday: lotta calls at work, as usual. The weather was nice enough to open the windows for the cats. After work, Julie and I went to trivia, and they had the garage door open. Julie wanted to order wings, so I had most of the pepperoni pizza. (It's not quite as good as the sopressata.) Jimmie started us at 7:30, and while we had a pretty good showing for the first few rounds, we came up short in fifth place at the end. After we got back home, I realized I had to play Duels mode in Hearthstone one last time before they remove the game mode tomorrow, and it turned out I'd never played with Darius Crowley, so I took him on a five-game win streak until it was too late to stay up any longer.

2023

Saturday: we woke up to the sounds of our upstairs neighbors moving out. I moved the car so that they could get the truck a little closer. Afterwards, Julie made brunch, then we went to the store. Phil was supposed to come by to pick up Cliff, but we weren't sure exactly when that was going to happen, so we went to the gym in the afternoon. I spent more time reading about storygames, particularly Sam's write-up of Downfall, which prompted me to but the PDF after we got home. Julie and Phil visited POPE for a bit while I played FFXIV, and on a whim I put Regular Show on, since I'd never seen it. Once they returned, we hung out watching TV for a while, before Phil took Cliff home.
