Friday: I want to spend this month working on a novel idea that's captured my attention. I spent two hours this morning developing some character and conflict arcs, establishing some backgrounds, doing research, and setting up a basic outline. I wouldn't consider myself finished with the outline, but I want to finish it tomorrow morning. (Let's see if I'm successful!)
After my productive morning, I had a similarly productive day at work; I pretty much just played music on my breaks, as I'm building a couple of purpose-driven playlists. Julie gave me some grief about picking up lunch yesterday, but otherwise it wasn't the most eventful day. I had my call with David after work, and I encouraged him to pursue a writing project of his own, as he's always going on about his plans to become a poet. After the call, we had leftovers for dinner; I finished the sausage, peppers, and rice. I'd wanted to get a little bit of extra work in, but I didn't really have time to before Carl's game. The crew's still getting situated, but we finally reached a point where we're going to choose character classes and fill out character sheets, so perhaps next week we'll start using D&D for the kind of role-playing it's good at. This kept me up until after 1 AM, though, so my plans for an early morning were dashed.
Thursday: somehow I managed to never post an update for today, and now it's more than two weeks later. Here's what I can say for certain: at some point around this time, I had an evening where I broke with tradition and played Unicorn Overlord instead of Zelda. Was this when I finally finished the Drakenhold region? It seems likely.
Wednesday: spent the day listening to new team members take calls at work, plus a big briefing about our QA updates. In light of my big weekend effort on Moondrop Isle starting tomorrow, I joined Julie for more Poirot while we had the leftover soup. It's funny to recognize more of the guest stars (like a guy from DS9 and a girl from Hot Fuzz). Kind of have a headache, so I'm headed to bed.
Monday: Julie had trivia, so I had salad for dinner. I posted yesterday's update and played more FFXIV.

Wednesday: we met up with the guys at El Agave, their go-to restaurant. I don't remember what I'd ordered, but I remember not being thrilled with it.

Sunday: went to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the Palace. Julie was mainly there for the popcorn.

An update from Julie's LiveJournal:
"I had probably the least unenjoyable dentist visit today. The guy cleaning my teeth was using some kind of water powered pick to get all the build up off. It was relatively painless, MUCH better than the hygienist scraping and poking and prodding and saying "Wow, your gums seem to bleed a lot," which just makes me refrain from screaming "ANYONE'S WOULD IF YOU POKE IT WITH SHARP METAL!" He used chocolate flavored toothpaste which was oddly enjoyable.
"I've been exhausted for the past few weeks so last week I stopped by the doctor and they drew some blood for tests. Surprisingly I have no thyroid issues or anemia or diabetes or anything such as that. I do, however, have ridiculously low vitamin d levels, which doesn't really shock me seeing how much milk I do not drink. She gave me a prescription strength vitamin d supplements. Perhaps that will help. She also thought I may have been so gogogogogogogo for so long while in school and stressing out that now that I have time to slow down and relax my body is recouping on a hardcore level.
"I like watching Forensic Files and seeing cases I'm familiar with, whether they happened in Michigan (such as the one I'm watching now) or ones I've read about in various books."
