Saturday: as forecast from last night, I did not wake up early today, so I did not work on my novel, nor did I put in any extra time at work. I'm going to have to do the latter tomorrow morning, thanks to the scheduled maintenance Sunday night. I drove us to PetSmart, followed by Ross, where I got a color-block t-shirt and a dark green polo. We had Taco Bell for lunch, a quick run through the grocery store, then a trip to the little Acme for my salad chicken. Back home, I got the litter and the vacuuming and some laundry done. In the afternoon, Julie and I caught up on Tomodachi Life before I put on the Pilates program again. Her head ended up hurting too much for her to continue, but I enjoyed pushing myself further again. We might try doing 8 Minute Abs as well. I made fried rice for dinner, and we watched Poirot while we ate. This was the one in which he pretends he's going to retire when Japp delivers a seminar on his career; the mystery had to do with stolen Napoleonic portraits. After dinner, I did the dishes so we could put the leftovers away, and I played a game of Commander with Carl. (He had a group hug deck designed to lock people out of attacking him. I was playing an extort list with Y'shtola, but it's pretty rough. I ended up conceding, in part because the game was taking too long.) Now that I'm posting these updates, I'm going to treat the cats, fold my laundry, and go to bed.
Friday: I had a solid end to my work-week with lots of groups worked and a reasonable number of calls relative to the prior day. Just after my lunch break, I pried off the medical instrument I've been wearing for the past week, which left a pretty big bruise on my body where it had been attached. Seems like I missed my window to mail it back to the specialist prior to Monday, so I'll send it on my lunch break after the weekend. After work, I had my usual call with David, in which I told him a lot about my progress in Zelda of late. Julie had put chicken casserole in the oven earlier, and once it was finished, Julie took her plate to the living room to continue working on her puzzle while watching TV, and I took mine to the office to play more Blue Prince. I had a wildly successful Day 40 run with a ton of wealth gained and some big unlocks, but I fell a little short of the goal I'd set for myself, and eventually, I went to bed.
Thursday: still stayed up too late last night despite my plans otherwise. However, I did get up with my alarm this morning, more or less, and while I spent the first couple of hours shuffling between rooms and stealing catnaps under the guise of hanging out with cats in other rooms, I finally got around in time to put it an order at Newbold Cafe. While they may have updated their menu, neither Julie nor I had a change in our order, and after making the purchase, I walked over to pick it up.
After eating lunch at home, I put together a shopping list (and played a little Hearthstone to clear out my accumulated quests; I'm pretty pleased with the newest Highlander Reno priest decks in wild). I went to the Haircuttery to get a haircut, but it turns out I'm pretty bad at articulating my preferences to service professionals, and while the haircut's fine, I would have preferred something a little shorter. After that, I got my groceries at Acme. This week I'm switching back to lunch meat from the peanut butter sandwiches I'd been having, and I got the ingredients for one of my favorite meals, this vegetable pasta with feta.
Back home, Julie pointed out I needed to work on my game before she left for her weekly bocce game. (She reported afterwards that they didn't win. She's been struggling with a bunch of canker sores, though, so hanging out talking and drinking at a bar wasn't much fun.) While she was out, I worked on MI. Specifically, I added some commands to my zone in preparation of testers looking at it in the next few days, and now I'm in the process of adding all the missing scenery items and rooms. I also ran into some issues with the framework extension that I called out in chat so that Ryan and the better programmers could fix them. Ryan has been working on the art assets for the project, and I'm extremely psyched about the map he just created. I had been flirting with the notion of staying up all night to finish this and trying to do a sleep schedule reset tomorrow. Not sure if I'm going to go that route; it's now ten til 4 AM. I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.
Tuesday: Julie and Phil had a concert from their trivia team's successes, so I stayed home and played around in FFXIV's Island Sanctuary mode after work for a bit. I had planned to turn in early, but I wound up creating a text fragmentation tool for Inform 7 and spent a couple hours building it out and posting it to the IntFiction forums, instead.
Monday: last night I landed back in Wichita after my week of setting up the cats in the Philadelphia apartment, so it's right back to work, again. I'll spent the next two months getting the apartment cleaned up before the termination of our lease, dealing with the last remnants of our storage unit, and looking for Philadelphia or remote work while living at CHESM.

Friday: made an ominous discovery, considering we live with cats; the debris all over the living room carpet isn't ash or fur as I'd originally thought. It's feathers.
