Saturday: woke up to the sounds of John trying to summon me to the kitchen for morning treats, after which we gradually put ourselves together for our shopping run. I drove us down Front Street again to Taco Bell for lunch, where we seated ourselves by the drinks dispenser while we ate. I played a couple of rounds of Hearthstone. After lunch, I drove us to Acme, but I had to turn around once we arrived, as Julie couldn't find her mask. (She located it before we left the area, at least.) At the store, I finally stopped messing around with my weekly snack selection and resigned myself to three bags of shelled pistachios, as I'm trying to just cut out sugar altogether while also keeping my salt intake lower. I also got the stuff to make goulash again tomorrow. With the shopping done, I drove us home, and we got a parking spot not far from the apartment.
Once we brought everything inside, it was time for a light spring cleaning: I replaced all the litter in all the litter boxes while Julie took care of some dishes and bathroom issues. I replaced the shop vac bag and brought out all the trash before vacuuming the bedrooms. I started a load of laundry, and I am just now remembering that I need to go fold my clothes and move the rugs over, so let me hurry up with this: after we finished cleaning, there was this stream of the first half of The Little Match Girl 4: Crown of Pearls. The heat and humidity were getting to me, though, so I had the fan on the entire time.
After the stream, Julie had made pot roast with cabbage and potatoes, which we ate in the living room while watching more Enterprise. I'm starting to see what the select button folks meant when they said that this show felt especially "Bush-era" with the episodes we saw tonight. I played a little bit of Hearthstone, but then I got caught up watching Pat's stream of the FFXIV recent patch notes and stayed up too late, so now I'm going to fold my laundry and go to bed.
Friday: I did wind up going to bed around 5 last night, and woke up this morning at various times until the afternoon, when I ate my leftover sandwich from Newbold. I did a load of laundry and sliced up the vegetables for dinner. After a little light web browsing, I made dinner; it was a little off-putting that the rotini had strands of spaghetti inside for some reason, and Julie said she prefers the feta to be a little more molten. (If it's not darkened, probably needs to stay in longer.) Not coincidentally, this wasn't my favorite time having the pasta. I played a little Fallen London and continued watching some of the The War Within previews Preach has been releasing lately. One good thing to happen today, though, is that I put myself on a waiting list for a medical screening that I've been putting off for numerous years, so the fact that the waitlist is currently looking to be a little less than 12 months is hardly a change from usual. I can try to contact the medical centers that might have my medical records to see if my diagnosis from 20 years ago is still of benefit to pursue drug administration. Too bad I didn't actually contact either of the likely offices to verify if they had those records.
After dinner, I fell asleep in the office, and then again in the bedroom, and now it's after 2 AM that I'm feeling revitalized while I listen to random TMBG songs and post this update. Since Ryan has officially invited people to test Moondrop Isle, the pressure's on to finish the game, so that's what I'll be working on next.
Wednesday: after work, I watched a Final Fantasy XIV streamer on YouTube as he completed the base A Realm Reborn storyline.

Monday: had to post on facebook about how Koop has been going crazy trying to get out of our apartment. I had her on the deck, and she suddenly started meowing a bunch; I thought I heard more sounds than just the ones she was making, so I thought another cat might be on the deck below us; we searched the area and never saw anything.
She wandered around on the sidewalk, down to the end of the building and back, nibbling on grass, and wasn't happy when I carried her back inside. Her ensuing behavior over the next hour indicated she very much wanted to get back out there, but I double-checked that nothing was out there, and the complex started the sprinklers, so she's had to sit inside. She only just stopped freaking about it a little while ago. Pretty strange.
