Monday: went to bed early last night, by which I mean 1 AM. It was great and I felt very rested when I woke up. Long day of calls. (I would prefer to take calls when we're not backing up another area, but that's always the case when I'm taking calls on a Monday.) Afterwards, we went to quizzo, where it felt like we were constantly relocating: started at the bar, bounced to a table by the kitchen (and the way the doors would swing into me meant I wound up sitting 90 degrees from Julie rather than across from her), and then finally to another two-chair table so that they could seat three people in the table we vacated. As for the trivia, we spent all game in the 75% range. Spent some time disappointed over forum users before noticing that Hades II released in early access. I played that for a bit before going to bed.
Saturday: we hit the store in the morning, including a number of ingredients for a new orzo dish Julie suggested I try. We were going to wander a street fair once Phil showed up, but he was a bit delayed by a late lunch. We stopped in at Tattooed Mom—I had a citywide—and after we'd had our fill of people-watching, we went over to Penn Landing to scope out the New Jersey side of the Delaware river. Seems like they have an aquarium! We then went down to the Italian market, but most places had closed already. We stopped at Ray's long enough to have a beer and see Kentucky Derby interviews, and on the way back to our place, we picked up a couple extra ingredients at Acme.
Back home, Phil put together an odd pizza and a pasta dish with well-prepared scallops. He couldn't stay long, but Julie and I had a nice enough night snacking and entertaining the cats. John's taken to curling up under my mouse-arm when I'm using my laptop while lying on the floor, and Earl Grey has us on edge over whether we'll ever catch her making a sound louder than her usual squeaks. (We know that she can, but seemingly never while being observed.)

Thursday: for approximately one decade, one bottle of Kroger Vitamin Enhanced Water Beverage - Black & Blueberry was my favorite drink. The product was discontinued, though, and today marked the last time I was able to drink one.

Saturday: my parents observed their 40th anniversary with dinner at Canterbury Hill Winery and Restaurant. Julie's parents were here as well; I think this is one the last times we got to spend together before Rita's cancer became a problem. It was nice to spend time together, but the dinner took almost four hours for no good reason. Kind of a mixed experience.
