Tuesday: another busy day at work, though today had a nice interruption for a new project involving some research and workflows. I finished it before the end of my shift.
After work, we got cleaned up for another trivia night, this time run by the Latchkey couple. Julie's friends Amy and Julianne joined us, but we had to climb from second-to-last place after a bad first round, and we did not wind up placing. I started to drift off a little as we were wrapping up, but once we got home, it was time to gather the litter and trash and recycling. While we were out, we had to pick up more of these spoon-like cat treats for John's unending appetite, and at home, I checked on the dishes, since I'd run the dishwasher to see how badly the new leak in the disposal would run while the dishwasher was going. (Turns out that running the dishwasher on heavy will half-fill the dish bin that we set up to catch the water.) Lotta enthusiasm right now for the Hades II early access launch, and I'm continuing to follow up and apply fixes based on the MI playtest. Probably ought to go to bed on the earlier side, again.
Sunday: woke up in the afternoon and got onto my work laptop for a couple of hours of overtime project work. By the time I'd finished, it was time to start prepping the ingredients for the new orzo recipe. Lessons learned: I should stick with the larger grater for the zucchini, but zesting and juicing a single lemon was sufficient. Adding some toasted walnuts and pecans would go a long way, and we definitely prefer a higher volume of feta than a single package's worth.
We played a quick game of Civ VI after dinner. We kept the difficulty at "king", but we turned off barbarians and we put ourselves on a team, while the computer players were all independent. This was an easy diplomatic victory, so we probably want to keep this setup and turn barbarians back on next time. I think I still prefer the way Civ V handled two players being on a team together, though; there's no possibility of poaching your partner's wonder, and the shared techs is also a nice benefit.
After the game, I spent a while trying to find my Switch controller, but a thorough search never turned it up. Thinking it might be time to get a new one tomorrow.

Saturday: we hung out with Courtney and Jess and Matt and Tyler. Among other things, we played Octodad: Dadliest Catch. It was a beautiful catastrophe.

Thursday: one of the downsides of this apartment on Rock Road is that it's more of a highway than a surface street in terms of traffic. Tonight, a trucker decided that rather than change his flat tire, he's going to shout about it non-stop while running his engine continuously at 2 AM. Julie slept through it.
