Thursday: first day off with Julie out of the house, so I wanted to defy her expectations about how it'd go. To that end, I got up pretty early, cleaned myself up, and went to Chipotle followed by the grocery store for my week of supplies. I had to stop into Home Depot for some shop vac bags, and it was kind of nice to wander around the store. I went a bit overboard at the grocery store. Since they're repouring the concrete for the sidewalk corners at the intersection in front of the apartment, I made a point to park on the cross street. (This wound up being important in my update for tomorrow.) For dinner, I had a Ceasar salad kit. I watched a little TV, checked in on the MMOs, and continued post-release updates for my portion of Moondrop Isle.
Tuesday: call volume always spikes the day after a holiday, though at least most of the calls were pretty straightforward. It could have been a lot worse.
Julie had a Matt Maeson concert to go to tonight, so it was just me and the cats. I was dismayed to discover that the leftover casserole from Thursday night had all been eaten, so I finished off the salad instead, and despite not being finished with the new Zelda yet, I couldn't resist listening to the first 40 minutes or so of The Hero's Path Extrasode 8, which Ryan and Zach recorded after they'd both finished the game. Once I was done eating, I posted updates to this site and went to the living room to catch up in Pocket Camp and play more Zelda, trying to make progress on the Lucky Clover Gazette missions, finally finishing the Hebra chapter (and getting a horse in the process).
Monday: while doing final clean-up on the apartment before our lease ends, I elected to take a snack break. (Two years later, I think I have not had an Easy Sport Rally Ale since. They don't sell these in Philadelphia.)

"I seem to have the tendency lately to send packages to addresses the recipients no longer live at. Hopefully UPS will just ship them back to me so I can get them to the right place. I'm just pretty awesome like that.
"Dr. Blakeslee gave me a 4.0 in arch sem and I got a 4.0 in the Belize course and independent readings, thus I will finish my degree with a 4.0 GPA in my department. Even if I don't get a 4.0 in anatomy it won't matter since phd programs will only be concerned with my GPA within my degree program and anatomy is just an elective. I am so proud of myself.
"I leave for Cleveland next weekend. Kristen and I will drive to Kansas City to fly out since it is so much cheaper. I think after I get back from Cleveland I will make sure to not fly anywhere for a while. I have flown at some point every month since last December. This is too much. I am burning myself out on air travel. Everyone keeps saying I must have frequent flyer miles out the wazoo, but that would only be possible if I was flying the same airline each time which of course I'm not. That would be too easy.
"I wish this summer was like last summer, where it rained well into June and I didn't have to turn on my air until July. It's so hot and humid here I had to crack it on today. This saddens me. I hate having to spend that much money. And I hate heat and humidity, so it's really a huge lose-lose situation. I got into my car after work the other day and my glasses fogged up the minute I sat down. There is something wrong with that.
"Tomorrow I am going to shop for organizational aids so I can do something about all the papers I have floating around my desk and kitchen table as they are driving me nuts. I need something to put all my bills in and things like that. Not to mention random papers from last semester and so on. I really need a huge bookshelf. I already have it planned to take the three huge bookshelves in the front room and the one from my old room when my parents eventually move out of the house. I have my eyes on them. :)
"I managed to spill red candle wax on my light colored carpet the other day. I doubt I will get most of it out. But hey, that's what the heavy duty carpet cleaning machines are for aren't they? Besides, it's pretty much in a corner and when I moved in there was a streak of green wax in my bedroom and I managed to survive.
"Jason apparently couldn't handle spending time in my apartment if I'm not there without some kind of connection to the outside world because he had internet reinstalled in my apartment. I'm not complaining. Hopefully there won't be any problems like last time or I will forever hate Cox. Now that I'm actually using my desktop again I have to get used to using this keyboard. My poor laptop will be so neglected this summer.
