Wednesday: got up early, made some good progress on my outline, and proceeded to have a typical workday. Still stuck in the reworks and Pending DSB group doldrums until tomorrow, when I can finally get into these new groups I've been collecting. Break entertainment included the CSB podcast, a video that reduced my dissatisfaction with the MBTI, and my usual lunch plans. Julie had a doctor's appointment and a trip to Jersey for work. Once she got back and I finished with my shift, I put together a new playlist of exercises, which we ran through for over an hour. The Shine class Julie suggested we add for cardio left me frustrated; I'm sure I could learn the routines if we kept revisiting that video, but I didn't like it enough to justify the effort. Maybe we'll find a better one. We did the four best segments of the "8 Minute" suite, after which I did some additional stretches in pursuit of greater flexibility. By the time we got cleaned up and started into dinner, it was after 8 PM, so Julie watched Community in the living room while she ate, and I did some ladder games in the office. We still weren't able to finish the leftover beef stew, and something about it has been upsetting Julie's digestion, so I'll have the last bowl in the next day or two. I had a couple of hours before I needed to head bedward, and in a moment of weakness, I bought Mina the Hollower. It's pretty good! I bet it'll be even better if I hook up a controller, rather than trying to just play using the keyboard!
Tuesday: after work, we took our weekly trip to Santucci's. The theme this week was "baseball," so Julie suggested the team name "Seventh Inning Itch." There weren't too many real baseball questions, so we did pretty good; we ended up in third, but we won "best team name" again. For dinner, we split the buffalo ranch chicken pizza, which might be my favorite actual pizza we've had here.
Monday: had been hoping the call volume would drop, but today was the last day of the Memorial Day sales. However, Ashlyn needed me to split my shift to cover chat support from 6:30 to 11 PM, so you might argue that I had an exceptionally long lunch break. I spent a lot of the day satisfying John's desire for treat broth. Since I wasn't going to make it to trivia, I thought about going by Stogie Joe's for an early dinner, but I wound up just driving by Taco Bell instead. The rest of my shift went alright, but it wasn't a very productive day.
Saturday: got up super early compared to my usual wake-up time to check on something for work, which thankfully worked out as I'd hoped it would. I spent a couple more hours drowsing afterwards, but soon it was time to ring the Taco Bell on our way to the store. We were disappointed to discover our preferred cat litter went on clearance and will no longer be carried by the stores around here, so Julie's going to try ordering it online going forward.
We had a couple of hours to kill before the Lebanese festival, so Julie drowsed on the couch while I played some more Zelda. (I'm still riding around on various vehicles underneath the Dueling Peaks. It's an annoying landscape. While I'm gathering a lot of upgrade resources through the process, it's getting clear that the objective of the Dueling Peaks Stable quest that I'm pursuing isn't in this area, and I'm not sure how else to proceed just yet.) Once it was time to go, we walked the few blocks to meet up with Phil & company at the festival. Julie couldn't keep her energy up for some reason, but I was thrilled to have a kebab plate and a side of hummus for the first time in almost a year. We stayed long enough to hear the band they'd retained for the event before heading home, picking up John's Water Ice on the way.
In the evening, Julie and I played more Civ VI. This was a "mostly land" map in which I played as the Maya, and I was pretty isolated with just city-states around me. While Julie had an early lead on the diplomacy track, I was so insulated from interference that I kind of ran away with the game, finally winning my first science victory. After she went to bed, I watche a couple more board game videos before posting these website updates from the last three days.

Monday: since Julie's been watching a lot of Forensic Files lately, she's been dwelling overmuch on how well insured we are. Surely this is no reason for concern?
Sunday: we moved into our new place, and as we were preparing to unload furniture, a girl outside one of the other apartments was screaming into her phone. Surely this is no reason for concern?
