Saturday: thanks to my extra-late night last night, I slept until 11:30. This delay proliferated through every part of the schedule to follow.
We left for our errands later than usual. The rainy atmosphere meant that we wore our raincoats out, but the only actual rain got as we were coming back to our car from Angelo's. This was our first time visiting the restaurant's new location on Swanson, and we had the misfortune to visit on a day when lots of out-of-towners were visiting thanks to a World Cup game. While we waited for our order to come out, we each got a free slice of pizza since somebody had abandoned their order. Once our sandwiches were ready, we went back out (through the aforementioned rain) to eat in the car. These sandwiches were huge; Julie got a cheesesteak, while I tried the pizza sandwich. This was probably enough food for two meals, but my sandwich was too much of a mess to put back in its wrapper, so we just ate everything anyway.
After lunch, we did our usual shopping run, and then I drove us back home. In addition to our usual chores, we went through our respective closets to find clothing that needed to be retired or returned to regular circulation. I kept getting distracted, but eventually I started on dinner: one-pan zucchini orzo with feta, the optional scallions and nuts topping, and some reheated chicken for protein. Julie decided to include the optional topping this time, so I guess next time I'll reintegrate it with the rest of the recipe. We were finally hungry enough to eat right as I finished cooking at ten minutes until 9, and in the same way that I have begun backsliding on my sleeping schedule, I am backsliding in my media habits: I have been watching FFXIV trailer reactions. It's fine when I'm doing the dishes, as I did tonight, but I've got to stop myself from staying up just to watch videos. To that end: I'm going to bed, at ten minutes until 1 AM.
Friday: I was going fast and furious at work to try to get all my groups taken care of before vacation, to only partial success. Afterward, I talked with David a bit and updated him on my activities for the last two weeks; later, Julie told me that overhearing my conversation gave her more of the details than she was interested in about how NarraScope went. We had a brief workout before cleaning up for dinner, which consisted of a couple of bowls of cabbage soup Julie had defrosted earlier in the week. I also took the opportunity to finish off the cereal along with a cup of yogurt. I'd made tentative plans to go gold farming in Occult Crescent in FFXIV, but I wasn't feeling up to it, and ended up just bouncing between Hearthstone and youtube videos while I procrastinated on packing.
Thursday: after my update last night, I was trying to figure out how to pace myself with the day's activities to ensure I'd be awake when the Dawntrail early access period begins at 4 AM Eastern tonight. My plan went something like this: drink a bunch of Dr. Pepper and finish leveling a blood elf frost-spec death knight in MoP Remix until around 9 AM, and I could then get a hair cut, go shopping, clean up the apartment, and sleep for eight hours from around 4 PM until midnight, when Julie gets home from the airport. I immediately threw a wrench into these plans by crashing on the sofa from 9 AM to 1 PM. I went out and got lunch before getting a hair cut and running by Acme to get groceries, pizza supplies, screen wipes, and cat treats. Back home, I did the dishes, vacuumed, made pizza for tomorrow night, burned myself in the process, and then tried to sleep until Julie's arrival. I did get a few hours, but I spent a lot of time bouncing back and forth between the bedroom, the kitchen, and the living room either addressing the cats' needs or responding to Julie's frustrated text messages as she dealth with delays and other travel issues. She did eventually get home around 1:30 AM, we talked for an hour or so, and I then had the last of the casserole for a very delayed dinner. I've now been watching a Portal 2 playthrough on youtube while I wait for the FFXIV launcher to indicate that servers are available. Should be about 30 minutes from now—and then I have all day today and all day tomorrow to play.
Tuesday: my company's big announcement happened today, which is that we're now including Perfect Day at Coco Cay among our destinations, and we're moving one of the Edge-series ships to that itinerary starting next year. It was every bit as busy and frustrating as I feared it would be. NOBODY IS HAVING A GOOD TIME TODAY. (Except the cats, I guess.) I scheduled a doctor's appointment, I did the dishes; let's move on.

I've been playing Fallen London as Apocrypha, and my earliest journal-entries were dated today, which indicated that I'd participated in a game of "Pass the Cat", pursued (and profited from) a romantic entanglement, and became troubled by nightmares.
