Tuesday: woke up around 7 AM and logged immediately into work to catch up on my groups. Grabbed a chicken platter on lunch, as our evening plans were different than usual: Julie made eggs and bacon for dinner, after which we took the subway up to the Met for the Metric show. I didn't really expect them to, but I still hoped that they'd play The Shade. They did include Synthetica and All Comes Crashing, plus a bunch of newer stuff and their most popular classics, so I can't complain much. Lots of fun people-watching at this show; a girl a few rows ahead had blue hair and light-up earrings, which was quite the look. Seems like we missed out on "bubble"-themed trivia at Karly Moon's weekly event. It's going to be too long before we're back at Santucci's, unfortunately.
Monday: we left for trivia early, which turned out to be the right call as the place ended up pretty packed. I think we were at the high top table this time? I don't remember how we did, but it wasn't great. I had whatever their feature stromboli was. Which was fine, but I would have preferred the pizza.
Sunday: spent the day in a fugue state, shuffling from one bed to another, napping continuously, struggling even to cough. As Julie said, "I guess when you get a cold, it's just always going to be bad, now."
IS THE COUGH STILL HERE? YES
Friday: I love to have a slow workday at the end of my week in which I can catch up on the last of my leftover follow-ups. Along similar lines, we finished up the last of the leftovers for dinner: I ate the meatball pasta and broccoli, while Julie had the remaining gumbo. The big news today came from the Square Enix FanFest for Final Fantasy XIV, since they just today officially announced the 2024 expansion, Dawntrail. Lots of commenters are suggesting the trailer is incomplete, seemingly edited to conceal the existence of character designs or other elements which might give away expansion features they're not ready to discuss just yet. Actual announcements beyond the trailer and a few systemic improvements were pretty slim, so I consoled myself with a new FFXIV LP to reacquaint myself with Shadowbringers and Endwalker, since enough time has passed that I've kind of lost track of the exact way a lot of those events played out.
Thursday: during training at work, we're catching up on assessments.

Tuesday: last night, thanks to the ongoing pandemic, we did the Animal Crossing: New Horizons birthday thing again, this time for Julie's birthday. I posted the photos to facebook, again.

Friday: last night, I came downstairs to play Overwatch, only to spend all evening refreshing a website instead. Mosaic kept me company, though.

Tuesday: for Julie's birthday last night, we went to Laser Quest! There were only a few people present besides our group, though, so we were forced to turn on each other.

I have never been so excited to work on a Saturday. There is so much to catch up on that built up while I was on vacation.
Wichita needs lots of rain so the river will stop smelling so wretched and foul everytime you are anywhere near it.
I just found out Jason cried when informed that Nintendo would no longer support the Final Fantasy games. Why did I marry this guy?

Tuesday: went to the Tanganyika animal park with Julie and Kristen! I got very sunburned. We had lemurs and lorikeets on top of us, and it was nice to see the gorillas.
