Monday: this week, I'm working with one of my counterparts to clear a backlog of groups we've accrued. His schedule is such that he typically works through his breaks, which is a fact John does not appreciate; my arms and legs are covered with scratches from his attempts to get me to follow him into the kitchen or bathroom for snacks and water. After work, Julie and I walked to Stogie Joe's for Monday night Quizzo; I had a salad. We got there early enough to avoid having to wait for seating, but we did end up having to move closer to the bathrooms before the night ended. My standout moment came when I was able to provide "Liberia" as the answer to a question about African countries. We didn't win, though, and after coming back home, I stayed up too late playing routine games on the computer.

Friday: worked on my work project, practically cleaned out the kitchen for lunch, and overall had a pretty good day. Julie made stir-fry for dinner, and we continued through Futurama while I caught up on Hearthstone quests. Logged into FFXIV to try the Moonfire Faire tower jumping puzzle, but it's getting a little too uncomfortable on the living room floor, so I'm going to switch to my PC for this... right after I post this update..

Julie and I were in Osage Beach at the Lake of the Ozarks. We went miniature golfing at Putt 'N Stuff with my parents and with Joe & Kelly.

The Yawhg is a cute little choice-based storytelling game about divergent destinies in a fantasy land. Apparently I've only played it for an hour, but that's still a fair number of replays.

My sister Kelly posted a photo of the two of us celebrating our mom's graduation. Meanwhile, Julie posted on LiveJournal:
"I never expected the words "There is a mushroom growing in my bathroom" to ever come out of my mouth but, lo and behold, they did today.
"I woke up this morning at 6:30 am and stumbled into the bathroom as per my usual routine. I'm just doing my thing when I look in the space between the toilet and the edge of the sink cabinet and see this:

"Now I'm half awake and can't comprehend what I'm seeing so I call Jason in to look at it (SCANDALOUS!). He confirms that it is a mushroom and no, I wasn't dreaming. I take a picture and he starts to google mushrooms in bathrooms. The whole time I'm getting ready for work I just kept saying "I can't comprehend this right now, it's too early for mushrooms in bathrooms." Pretty much all day at work I kept randomly saying "There is a MUSHROOM GROWING IN MY BATHROOM." Luckily the entire thing amused Chad.
"The maintenance guy came, cut the mushroom off the wood, flushed it and started rattling off all the things in the bathroom he'd have to replace in the coming days due to the excessive moisture that I have mentioned before to office staff. I think this maint guy actually knows what he's doing, and he's seen mushrooms growing indoors before. They thrive on moisture and if one is growing in your house it typically signifies a leak. Hoorah.
