Sunday: woke up a little on the early side today. Julie made eggs and sausage for brunch, and we walked up to PetSmart, followed by the Asian market. It was a hot day without much wind. Back at home, I ended up napping on the floor for a bit with John under the blanket, after which I brought my laptop out to the living room and we tried to play Civ VI. While I had a bit of success playing as Alexander and taking out Hungary right at the start, Julie's situation turned rough before long. The second game went basically the same. While we played, we watched late season 5 of Community, and continued watching into season 6 while we ate dinner (which was yet more cabbage soup). I tried to call Kelly a couple of times for her birthday, but ended up just leaving a voicemail message (on which Julie and I sang a "happy birthday" song in German). I followed that up with a nice call to the parents. Once Julie went to bed, I logged into UmaMusume in the office to prepare for the Taurus Cup, to limited success, and then posted this update.
Saturday: I spent my whole workday doing chat support and following up on outstanding email requests for myself and for trade sanctions. Had the first half of my salad for lunch, and for dinner I made the pizza I'd picked up ingredients for on Thursday. I put on an abridged summary of a Joseph Anderson stream while I was cooking, and I kept watching through while I ate dinner and tried to finish up MoP Remix collections. Oh, I also finished this year's Estival update in Fallen London, and I posted a screenshot of the last screen on Select Button. This gives me a little breathing room to renew focus on other games for a bit.
Thursday: in the morning, Julie convinced me to go pick up lunch at Newbold Cafe. I took the opportunity to pick up some extra peanuts at a shop on the way back, as my food stores otherwise consist solely of sandwich material, cheese sticks, and leftovers. Work was fine for most of the day, but I did get a couple of time-intensive calls at the last minute that may have spiked my stats. I did get some unavoidable overtime as a result of one call going long, though I would have preferred not to as I missed out on some of the Disco Elysium stream I've been following on Thursdays. At least I won't have this issue after my schedule change next week. I had more taco soup for dinner, and while Julie had a last-minute cancellation, she found another new friend to meet at Quizzo. I also finally figured out that when John leads me into the living room, it's probably because he wants me to pour water into the fountain so he can drink from the stream as I'm pouring it, since he doesn't want to drink from any of the standing water bowls, and he's ceded the bathroom territory to Mim, where he'd otherwise supplement his water intake. I'm hoping that once our extra filter supplies arrive, he'll drink from the fountain itself again. I wanted to play more Zelda since R. E. had been texting me about his progress, but my Switch had no power. The docking station was plugged in, but it wouldn't charge while it was docked, so I tried plugging the Switch into the charging cable directly, which seems to be working. I hope my dock isn't busted. It's clearly been charging the controller without issue, so I'll have to mess with it some more over the weekend, I guess.

Monday: finished my first day of training. I have four weeks to go. Fifteen years later, I can't remember whether this refers to my time at Convergys doing home refinancing, or my time at Convergys doing Medicare Part C customer service, or my time at Mid American Credit Union doing technical support, closing reports, and security.
