Tuesday: once I posted my update last night, I played a bunch of The War Within, covering mostly Azj-Kahet endgame world activities, but all too soon, I forced myself to go back to bed. After waking up again, I had another typical Tuesday with plenty of time spent on trade sanctions emails. Julie was still too under the weather to go into the office. I didn't realize that they bumped the monthly trivia to next week due to the presidential debate tonight. Instead, I offered to pick up dinner from The Palace of Indian, but first I had to get the litter and trash. Apparently it had rained, but neither of us noticed. I got treats and a pair of Dr Peppers at the Acme before bringing dinner home, and we watched more Venture Bros while eating. I played a little bit of Vampire Survivors before giving the cats their 10 PM tuna, then I came in here to post this update. Going to do a little bit more War Within before I retire.
Sunday: another workday, busy with my projects. John keeps demanding my attention while I'm working by clawing at my limbs: he wants water, or he thinks we should open the big bags of food in the living room, or something along those lines. My right leg and left arm are covered in scratches. While I've mostly been having peanut butter sandwiches at lunch, I had chicken again today to use up the remaining cheese and lunch meat. By way of distraction during breaks, I've been watching an older NieR: Automata LP while I browse on my phone.
Once I was done with work, Julie prepared that chicken/potato curry over rice that we haven't had in a while. Since we're going to be out at trivia for the next two nights (and have an additional social event coming up afterward, the details of which escape me), we decided to do our own things while we ate. She's been working through the victory types in Civ VI single-player, and she just got her first science victory. For my part, I watched a Portal LP before getting into FFXIV. Still trying to get those Tenfold Celebration Tomestones for the anniversary event, while simultaneously trying to progress and unlock all the raids I haven't finished yet. My item level is too low to start whatever's after Abyssos, so I worked on some Newfound Adventure questing and made headway on the Sigmascape raids from Stormblood. Kind of astonishing I didn't do these sooner, since FFVI was always my favorite.
