Tuesday: another night up too late writing my quarterly summary on this website, another sleepy workday to follow. My company announced our 2026-2027 itineraries, and there was one particular itinerary that seemed noteworthy enough that Julie and I should consider saving up for it in 2016. Despite the big news, call volume was never high enough for me to have to disrupt my usual schedule too much. Once my shift ended, we walked to the gym. Seems like the Halloween decorations sprang up overnight, though technically I hadn't been outside for more than two days. At the gym, I did my usual routine while reading AdamCadre.ac Calendar updates (which had been part of the inspiration for this website, despite the lack of any resemblance between what Adam's doing and what I'm doing). Julie left early to get dinner started, and I walked to Acme to pick up a couple more packs of cat treats, since John has been eating through them in an enormous hurry. I was preoccupied with the order of storefronts along Passyunk, so I used speech-to-text to narrate the entrances as I passed them into a text file on my phone. Back home, I changed out the litter in the bedroom before gathering up the rest, since it's trash night. After we finished getting everything and everyone cleaned up, we had a dinner of cabbage and onion with sausage sauteed in oil, but first I had to call in my deposit on my new reservation before the cruise line closed. Watched a little more FFX while I finished, then put this update together while looking up urinary health wet food for John. Up next: bed.
Sunday: since I got to bed so early, I was able to wake up at like 5 AM. That meant that I had 25 hours to collect anniversary tomestones in FFXIV before the event ended, though that time was much lower once you subtracted time spent at work, eating meals, spending time away from the computer, etc. My work shift went well, though both meals today were extra spicy: Julie made toasted cheese sandwiches with this heavily spiced rice/curry soup for lunch, and as my shift at work was winding down, she chopped up a bunch of spinach and onion and garlic and tofu with more rice for dinner. IFComp '23 started today, but I don't have a game in this year, and I don't yet know how much time I'm going to have to play the games during the judging period this year. Think I'm going to go to bed early again tonight so I can do more duty finder in FFXIV tomorrow morning before the servers go down.

We went out to eat at TGI Fridays, where we played 20 questions. She felt the objects I selected were unfairly difficult to identify.
