Monday: tried to capitalize on the work I'd done last night as much as possible, to some success. Not as much as I'd have liked. I did manage to prepare a presentation for this week's QA briefings, which I'll present on Wednesday. After my shift, we headed out to Stogie Joe's, but despite being among the first in the entryway, we got to watch the servers seat one group after another that had arrived after us. (I think at least one of these groups was friends with the owner; the others were due to table availability as it corresponded to our respective group sizes.) We ended up standing in the entryway for 45 minutes, and Julie wished we'd seated ourselves at the bar when we'd had the chance. Still, Jimmie said he wouldn't start until we got a seat, which transpired roughly twenty seconds later. We were at the table closest to his position, so it was easier than usual for me to pick up and turn in answer sheets for each round. I ate the pepperoni and cheese stromboli this time, and this was probably the best-made version of it that I can recall enjoying. Julie ate the bacon burger. In terms of our performance, we did pretty well, but I think we ended up in roughly fourth place. Walking home, I noted that there were a lot of leaves on the ground; I think it was a week ago today that we distracted a cat to let a squirrel escape up a tree.
Sunday: had a super sleepy work day, after which we watched some more Buffy while eating this beef and vegetable soup Julie had made from some of our defrosted ingredients. Went to bed early, and thus did not update my website today!
Friday: Got up and showered, had some cereal, posted some updates here, did a little laundry; I spent the afternoon working on my FFXIV progression objectives. (I'm nearly finished with the Warring Triad stuff from Heavensward, after which I'm knocking out the rest of the Eden series and trying to get a job of each role up to 80 so I can do all the Shadowbringers role quests. I've still got Sage for healer and Red Mage for magic DPS to finish leveling. Once all that's done, I should be able to complete the 6.5 story quests. Pretty excited for the UK Fanfest updates tomorrow!) Julie was interested in ordering a box dinner from Juana Tamale, so I walked down and picked that up for us. Watched a few episodes of Ghosts before I got tired and started drowsing on the floor, so I'm just posting this brief update before going to bed early.

Wednesday: one of the cats spent the night hunting flies, kicked over a food dish, and pulled Julie's make-up brush out of her purse before eventually falling asleep on my jacket. This is classic Koop behavior.
