Sunday, 9:49 AM: my dream today was something about meetup dynamics and how they change when some of the attendees are unwelcome giant monsters, I think?
5:37 PM: after getting up and dressed, Wourme ran Race for the Galaxy for Miles, Shrug, Gary, and myself. I enjoyed it while we were playing, blissfully unaware I was rushing for the endgame while everybody else had much higher scoring planets. Had a banana afterwards and watched Parker playing Max Payne 3 for a while before going upstairs to warm up in the bedroom with Julie while I ate Cheez Its and catching up on my websites. The Kusoge tournament started afterwards, and both Julie and I were eliminated in Mega Man 7 versus mode matches. Most of the games this year seemed to be weird FMV fighters with split screens or alternating animation, plus notable standouts Shadow Tower and Rakugaki Showtime. (Silhouette Mirage deserves recognition for having a special versus mode with asymmetrical health bars and attacks that do damage based on whether characters are facing left or right on the screen.) I drank a weird Food Lion strawberry seltzer, and it did not surpass my preferred Propel or Ice drinks.
9:49: still pretty cold in here and I keep stepping in puddles in my socks, so I've been just sitting on the sofa under the blanket with Julie while reading reddit, searching for old LJ accounts, and otherwise recovering my socialization stamina. I did have a glass of Dr Pepper earlier, which was nice.
12:34 AM: Gary (and company??) made chili for dinner, and as inevitably happens, I managed to sear my tongue in the process. I went back to the bedroom to warm my feet and eat some gorp as well, after which I rejoined Julie on the sofa for a bit. The kusoge tournament ended at some point, and Cuba addressed the group to ensure everything would be cleaned up and packed in time for checkout at 11 tomorrow. Things are winding down, so I'm just doing some final online activity before I pack up down here and go to bed.
2:15 AM: Mothra came over while I was playing Hearthstone and we spent some time talking about The Venture Bros, and Lower Decks, and other shows. I need to finish my HS quests and then I really will be done for the night.
