Tuesday: here we are on Tuesday night, election night, waiting for results to come in and gritting our teeth over what a close race it's turning out to be. So, what better time to talk about what I've been playing, lately?

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp: we're in the second half of the last gardening event before the transition to ACPC Complete ends all multiplayer activity. I'm trying to give out all my cookies before the deadline, really get the most out of each play session, but it's hard to find time to play. This will be something of a theme.

Fallen London: this has been keeping me pretty busy when I remember to log in, since I'm grinding for notability and renown. Not putting too much effort into clearing the Hallowmas event, even though I've put off this month's Exceptional Story rather than miss out on opportunities to pump up my menaces. Finally decided to sell my soul for a vial of cantigaster venom, only to immediately get it back from a relicker, plus treats. Very cool.

Final Fantasy XIV: has a tomestone event going on and the launch of 7.1 next week, but since I historically would play late at night, it's been completely upset due to my new C-PAP machine and corresponding sleep schedule putting me into Maximum Drowsiness starting at 9:45 every night. I managed to log in twice in three weeks.

World of Warcraft: is the other MMO I keep alluding to, and they're having their big anniversary event right now, which I haven't gotten around to revisiting since the upped the reward payouts. Pretty pleased with my new "deploy mailbox and auction house" hotkey, though, so they've definitely got my number.

Hearthstone: just released its "The Great Dark Beyond" expansion today, and this is the most excited I've been to play death knight since plagues came out. There's something thrilling about deploying an octopus to demolish all but the eight most expensive cards in each deck; I've been doing it all night while we watched early season 4 episodes of Buffy.

Super Mario Party Jamboree, Mouthwashing, UFO 50: these are all games that I might have played if discretionary funds weren't so tight, and instead they've been regular features of my youtube activity during breaks and lunches. Kind of want to pick up Super Mario Party despite having too few functional controllers.

Vampire Survivors: amazing game, can't wait to get any DLC for it, but there's literally no need when I'm still progressing through the base game.

Satisfactory, Tactical Breach Wizards, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: who?

Anyway, the day started out with us walking to the community center to put our votes in. One of the machines was down, so the line was long, but we still got through in under an hour. Wanted to pick up more cat treats at the store on the way back, but they didn't have the kind we wanted. Julie ordered more online, but for now the cats will have to survive on only getting fancy feast and tuna daily, plus the weird little cups we just picked up, along with the occasional dry treats that Mim prefers.

Once we got home, Julie made eggs for breakfast since I wasn't super psyched about my morning yogurt routine. Work shift went pretty fast, as we've now eliminated the Trade Sanctions backlog. Lots of escalation calls from new employees. I don't love this season.

After work, I went to the gym for a 40 minute bike ride, approximately. I spent the time on my phone reading more IF Comp reviews. When I got back, I gathered up the litter, while Julie got the trash and recycling. She'd made vegetable chicken with long grain rice, and despite one of the trays getting a little scorched, they came out really well. Now I'm going to post abbreviated summaries for all the days I've missed, and see if I can entice John to hang out in the office while I sleep on the office bed for the first time since changing machines.

Sunday: the time change is throwing me off, but I think it was around 10:00 that Dad & Sam got back from their reenactment. We just had time to load Mom and all her stuff into the vehicle before they had to be on their way. We napped a bit, and Julie prepared a brunch of eggs and sausage before we ran to the store for groceries. I saw a little bit of Joseph Anderson's Slay The Princess stream for today before we convened in the living room for the evening. Julie made the most authentic chili we've had in a while for dinner, and we watched more Lower Decks (finishing off the season) while we ate, followed by The Batman. After that, Julie put on some more Ghosts, and Cliff entertained us by burrowing under the blanket we'd draped over the ottoman. I finished some Hearthstone quests before posting this update and going to bed.

Thursday: Our wedding approaches. I spent some time playing Fallen London earlier in the day, but by the afternoon, five of Julie's six bridesmaids was at our apartment. (The missing bridesmaid was my sister, who did not need to fly into town for the occasion.) We had our bachelor and bachelorette parties today, which started with a joint dinner at a restaurant. (Was it Louie's?) Afterwards, the guys joined me for LaserQuest at 9 PM, and apparently we went to a bar afterwards. Julie's brother Chris and my dad enjoyed trying to invest the affair with an atmosphere of sleaze, but I don't think they were very successful.
