Wednesday: today feels like 2016, again. Kind of scrambled for stuff to do during my work shift, but on my breaks, I continued alternating between Grinding Gear's FFXIV content and NL's Super Mario Party Jamboree sessions. They delivered our ordered cat treats near the end of my shift, so John's yawning hunger can be sated. After work, Julie and I reheated the chicken she'd made from last night, and we decided to do our own things. I played some Hearthstone (still grinding with my Octopus Control DK deck), and while I wanted to get into the MMOs tonight (or some of Ryan's Ectocomp games), I got distracted with a Disco Elysium playthrough instead. Finally finished the last of my chips and dip, which I'm not likely to get again anytime soon for nutritional reasons. I should go to bed before it gets much later. Tomorrow, we've got a dinner reservation for our anniversary.
Monday: having been out of work so much, I had to spend a bunch of the day catching up and doing my weekly project. Once I was done, we went to Stogie Joe's Quizzo, and it seems like the Halloween decorations are starting to be replaced by Christmas stuff on 13th Street already. Once again, Julie and I were the only ones on our team, The Secret Lives of Debts. First round went okay; second round (images) was "identify various dogs." Things got rough during round three; we didn't get very many right, though I was proud to successfully identify the nation formerly known as Formosa The fourth round images were close-ups, and Julie felt very satisfied when she identified a remote control. We had to use our bonus in round five, and we got fewer of the bands in round six right than we thought we would. We wound up tying for fourth place, so no point in doing a tiebreaker.
