Monday: lots of work! On breaks, I've been watching some condensed reactions to Community episodes in an incognito window. I'm philosophically ambivalent about "react" style content, so while it's nice to have something mindless as a distraction on my break during a stressful period, I really don't want the algorithm recommending it to me when I'm logged in. For lunch today, I walked to the pharmacy and returned a wrist brace I'd bought earlier. For some reason, I assumed it would be a pair of matched braces. It turned out to be a single, but more importantly, it was a reversible style intending to be worn on either the left or the right arm. As soon as I put it on, I realized that this characteristic is actually a dealbreaker for me. After making my return, I picked up lunch from the halal cart and brought it back home. Delicious as ever.
After work, Julie and I walked to Stogie Joe's for trivia. We arrived pretty early, which seemed prudent since they were again reserving several huge tables for parties. We did an order of Caesar salad and pizza this week, and in terms of performance: we got second place. After we came back home and I treated the cats with their tuna, I watched more videos until midnight, after which I logged into work to finish the last of my groups for this week. I'm kind of working too much right now, I think? I don't know how November is already more than halfway over.
Sunday: think we had leftovers for dinner, during which we watched the new episodes of Ghosts and by Lower Decks, after which Julie put on Star Trek IV: The Journey Home, followed immediately by episode two of The Next Generation. I'd run some laundry, and I put out the carrier pads in front of the heating vent in the living room, though Mim doesn't seem interested, so far. (An update from a year later: she loves this and basically lives on her pad now. This was a big win.)
Friday: after my update last night, I still didn't get right to sleep for some reason, which made this morning another unproductive snoozefest. I ate the last of the Cracklin' Oat Bran for lunch, and my heart wept, for I know not when I will eat it again.
My big project for the day was backing up some files on my PC, since it turned out my collection of annotated source code was missing some games that I knew I'd read through over the last year. While I was going through everything, I also finally played some of Ryan Veeder's latest little games: How the Little Match Girl Got Her Colt Paterson Revolver, and Taught a Virtue to a Goblin, as well as How the Little Match Girl Met the Queen of Vampires, and one I especially enjoyed: The Little Match Girl against the Universal Sisterhood of Naughty Little Girls. Oh, and also NEST, which is goofy fun and had me smiling for the last 80% of the game.
While all this was going on, Julie met up with Emily in Chinatown to try a restaurant she figured I wouldn't appreciate as much, so I finished the remaining tortellini. In the evening, I put a little bit of work in on a project I'd stalled on, but I have no other updates to share on that front.

Saturday: played Red Dead Redemption 2 today, and I took video of a glitch in which the bandits attacking me were themselves invisible, though at least I could see their horses. This video was one of a couple that I bothered to upload.
Friday: went to the downtown Old Chicago for an Engagement activity with my bank coworkers. I was the first person there, which is always a little awkward.

Tuesday: posted on facebook about the upcoming release of Indivisible, a game made in part by some folks I know from web forums. While I supported it enough to get my own copies and some associated merchandise, I never ended up playing it myself. Maybe someday?
Monday: this was the night we went to that "wine and painting" place. I painted Koop, while Julie painted Angel. (She was pretty frustrated with how her painting came out; I was happy with mine.)

I spent the evening posting about the most notorious webcomic in the world on MetaFilter. I compared it favorably to Aaron A. Reed's Blueful, for some reason. I think I was trying to elevate the webcomic by association.
