Thursday: since Julie had her office holiday party to go to after her shift, I spent the whole day by myself. I got some work on my project done, though not as much as I would have liked to. My budgeting this week was a little better than usual, so I treated myself to some Subway down on south Broad. Since I was walking, I stopped into the library to finally get a local library card. I expected the trip to be a long one, but I guess I'm used to thinking about it in terms of how far I can get on my lunch break, so I found it a little leisurely to stroll in the cold air and look into all the shop windows. Seing such disparate businesses stacked one after the other like that made me think: this is the sort of feeling that inspired the Persona devs to render their cityscapes in such detail. Anyway, I was very happy to get into Subway and enjoy my sandwich; the bread was magnificent. Furthermore, the price here was like $5 less than the one on Snyder, which made me happy about my price today and annoyed about my price last time I went.
When I got home, a lingering fascination with the house on this webcomic page drove me to build my own version in Minecraft. Not sure what that was about; I haven't played Minecraft in years and years, and I have no real desire to restart now. I could have used those six hours for something else.
Wednesday: came down with a stomach flu over the preceding 48 hours. Despite the condition, I was still working. Wasn't getting much rest or nourishment. Miserable.

Despite being a little bit obsessed with watching other people play through it, today was the last time I played Disco Elysium myself, for at least four years. (I did get Julie to try it sometime in 2023, but that didn't really go anywhere.)
