Tuesday: while I enjoyed how slow the calls were coming in, I kept having to deal with escalations today, for some reason. This was another day in which I woke up extra early and spent a few hours working on an interactive fiction project, but the downside of this was that I felt so drowsy during my breaks that I just spent them lying on the bed in the office in hopes of recovering an ounce of vigor. On my lunch break, I was really hoping we'd get updates about the upcoming Hearthstone mini-set, or Joseph Anderson's upcoming video, and I kept being disappointed as I refreshed likely websites. As soon as my shift ended, I gathered up the litter and the trash before eating the leftover chili, and basically as soon as I finished it, I crawled under the blanket on the bedroom bed to nap for six hours.
Monday: First day of the new work week. I was expecting to be a lot busier than we were, both because my shift was an hour later, and because this is supposed to be the busy season, but I had little to complain about. We decided to do our own thing through dinner since she has to get up earlier tomorrow, while we can play Civ VI until late tomorrow evening without issue. I used the opportunity to finally finish the two LPs I'd been watching recently. We had leftover steak and potatoes for dinner. Tomorrow will be my first Tuesday off in more than six months, and I'll prepare pizza to celebrate(?) the occasion.
In cat news, Mim was antsy this evening and kept wanting to wander into the bathroom and the kitchen, but she didn't like how many other cats kept passing by. When John walked past, I tried to get between them, but she still swatted and drew blood on my wrist: a nice complement to my shredded hand from yesterday.
I'm putting my World of Warcraft affairs in order so that I can switch to FFXIV full-time once I can finally buy it. Still posting Wordle scores in the selectbutton.net thread, but I won't keep this up long, and once I wash my phone later this year, I'll abandon Wordle altogether.

Saturday: Julie and I did a get together with some folks like Courtney at Matt and Jess's house, and at one point we played some Mario Kart 8. This was also the last time I launched SpeedRunners in a long while. Cool game, though. I also tried Escape Goat, which left no impression on me.

Saturday: exactly two years, two months, and two days before this, Julie and I had our first date at Pho Hot in Wichita. We celebrated the anniversary by having dinner again at the same table.
