Saturday: still trying to do everything in Lemix that I can before the event ends. It's been snowing pretty hard, so Julie decided that she wanted to clean off the car this time before our grocery run. I took us up to PetSmart, down to Taco Bell, and over to Acme. Played some Hearthstone while we ate, but I think I've worsened my deck in some ways with the new cards from the miniset; Remnant of Rage is a pretty good card in the right deck, but it doesn't fit cleanly in my Eight Hands from Below list, and they make it less likely that The Headless Horseman or Helya will be among the eight most expensive cards still in my deck on my critical turn. At the store, I got plenty of chicken packs for my salads again, and with our safe return home, I gathered the litter and vacuumed. In the evening, this was either a night of leftovers or of salmon with asparagus and rice. I played some Red Dead Redemption 2, in which I spent a lot of effort trying to hijack or rob various coaches, and I tried to get my bounty over $250 in the area around Blackwater.
Friday: I'm finally awash in the high call volume of WAVE season, though at least we didn't need to back up the Reservations team today. The calls were only backed up from around 11 AM to 1 PM; as the end of my shift approached, I hda a lot more time between calls to take care of follow-ups and review the department inbox. I just hope they don't pull me off of chat support tomorrow.
After work, I had my call with David, and he was disappointed to hear that I haven't gotten back around to Tears of the Kingdom yet. Once the call ended, we began our evening pursuits with reheated quiche and broccoli. Julie decided to start rewatching Twin Peaks, but I ate in the office while playing a frost mage deck in Hearthstone while lamenting the depletion of my backlog of videos to watch. After I ate, I wrote this update! And then treated the cats before preparing to check into WoW for a bit of Plunderstorm and more alt leveling.
Wednesday: woke up early, got through work, took a lot more phone calls than I wanted, and tried catch up on projects now that I'm handling additional rework responsibilities. We had more beef and vegetable stew for dinner, and I brought my laptop into the living room in anticipation of more Murder, She Wrote. However, I got drowsy pretty early, so I went to bed promptly.
Tuesday: first day of my mid-week weekend. I slept in too late, chased the cats around the apartment, ran a load of laundry, and had salad for lunch. I overlooked a jar of sunflower seeds that was tucked behind a container of molasses, so rather than seeds, I topped my salad with some wonton strips I'd picked up when it seemed like the grocery store wouldn't be carrying chow mein noodles any more. For dinner, I prepared a new meatball recipe, and our Civ VI game was my best performance yet, in which I figured out my new strategy: outpace the economic growth of the computer players and use a rotating levy strategy to ensure I have the prevailing military force, so I can pursue the victory method of my choosing. By midnight, Julie was flagging, so we called it there, and I resumed watching FFXIV vids.

Thursday: we started our day with a taxi ride out of Belize City to the river boat dock. I think there was only one other couple on the boat ride to Lamanai, but there was a larger tour group once we arrived there. We walked through ruined Mayan temples as well as abandoned structures from later settlements. On the way back, our group stopped by a roadside stand and purchased some locally brewed ciders before returning to the city. We then packed up our luggage to take the ferry to San Pedro with Scott and Jenny, though we split up on arrival to drop our stuff off at our respective AirBNBs. We walked to The Baker for lunch, and in the evening, we all went to a local party-themed restaurant.

Sunday: while I was sitting in the passenger seat of her car as she drove, Julie was struggling to open the glove compartment, so she said: "You have to move your legs." She then proceeded to laugh at me so much that she had to pull the car into a parking stall so we didn't crash. If this story seems confusing to you, imagine how I feel.
