Sunday: I guess today was a day for physical activity, apparently. I stayed in bed pretty late, but once Julie suggested we have lunch here before walking to PetSmart, I got up to treat the cats and play some Blue Prince while I ate the last of the goulash. Once we'd put on some shorts and t-shirts, we made our way down 14th to some properties Julie was interested in. Once she'd sated her curiosity, we walked back in the other direction to get to the store. It was another long wait in the check-out, but on our way to 12th Street, we were startled to realize that the man sunning himself on his deck overlooking the street was mostly naked. For the rest of our walk home, we entertained each other with Twenty Questions.

After getting home, we put on workout clothes to go to the gym, where I doubled up on the day's regimen with 40 minutes on the treadmill. I had wanted to try to read up on the use of ChoiceScript to make interactive fiction, but I couldn't focus, so instead, I just reviewed these website updates I'd made last May and June. After we got home and spent some time lounging with John on the bed, we got cleaned up so that I could start dinner. I brought my laptop into the kitchen to watch more Blue Prince, though I'm not really seeing much I haven't already seen at this point. I chopped an onion, peeled six potatoes and processed them, and sliced up a ring of sausage before making the sauce for our scalloped poatotes. I decided to split the potatoes between two pans again this time, and while they baked, I did the dishes.

As the potatoes were finishing, I swapped some laundry I'd started earlier in the day to the dryer. After two days in a row of TV, we decided to follow our own pursuits this evening, so Julie watched some Simpsons episodes while eating and then working on her puzzle. I brought my serving of potatoes into the office and played Blue Prince myself. (I spent some time experimenting with the Blessing of the Monk. Once I drafted the Conservatory, I decided to just keep that in the outer room for the duration of the blessing.) I treated the cats just before Julie went to bed, then played a little more before posting this update for the past few days.

Saturday: routine Saturday work shift. We had the leftover pizza for dinner, and some sleep schedule weirdness aside, I was able to spend a bunch of time working on Moondrop Isle. The days are bleeding together, and while I'm making progress, it does feel a bit like I'm in a fugue state. I can't seriously think about much other than our current routines and on finishing this game.

Thursday: Julie had "an errand to run" after she finished work. She came back hours later to reveal a major haircut and dyejob, and we're both pretty happy for the change in pace! For dinner, Julie made a pasta dish reminiscent of macaroni. I watched some Disco Elysium and played the same games I've been playing all week.

Saturday: went with Courtney & Ryan and Matt & Jess to Blade and Timber for axe-throwing. It's a cute novelty, but like bowling, I find it hurts my wrists too much to want to develop proficiency. I feel like this was the first time I saw "fail army" videos on TV. It's just America's Funniest Home Videos for the internet generations, but it felt ominous somehow.

Wednesday: tried to play Portal 2 co-op with Julie, but her disinterest in FPS-style games became too much and she got more enjoyment out of sabotaging my attempts to solve puzzles with her. My response was that she shouldn't be allowed to pet Koop during the game because she wasn't being a team player.

Saturday: today is Derek and Marisa's wedding! I think this was in Chicago, based on Liz's question about whether we'd be available afterwards. We were with Joe and Kelly, uncle Gary, my cousin Jamie, and the rest of the extended family.
