Thursday: perhaps the week was going too well, as today, more typical circumstances prevailed. I could not get through all my groups today, despite the significant advantage I'd accrued, at least in part because I grabbed a couple of HQ groups that hadn't been picked up yet. Kimber's out of office tomorrow, so there's a chance I'll be on Recon, too. Really hoping I don't need to work on Sunday to catch back up again.
At least I made some good headway on my outlining prior to work, as I finally finished the ancillary character arcs that I'd started. It feels like I'm biting off far more than I can chew, but as I seem to be making progress, the earthworm's gambit continues to pay off. ("Do not concern yourself with the miles ahead of you; concern yourself with the six inches of soil through which you creep." Or something to that effect.)
After work, Julie went to the bocce playoffs for the spring season, but her team didn't win, so she's out for the next few weeks until the summer season starts. I had the last of the spaghetti and continued bargaining with myself about opportunities I can pursue after I finish with the current stage of my writing process. At least part of this took place in the bedroom with John under my legs; it's a wonder I didn't fall asleep. No major exercise today, but I did leave a message with a new medical provider I'd like to start meeting.
Wednesday: since this is a holiday week, tonight was trash night. Julie made spaghetti for dinner, and we watched TV. I appear to have played Vampire Survivors. This was also the night that our landlord announced a rent increase will need to go into effect three months from now. I don't think we'll be in a position to move out at that point, but that's now a possibility we might start working toward. In the interim, we might cut our gym memberships or Netflix sub or something. We'll see.
Tuesday: the last day of the Moondrop Isle pre-launch period! I spent a stressful day at work freaked out about all the stuff I still had to do and furious that I'd let myself sleep through time I could have been working on the game, though I would probably have been adding just as many bugs as I eliminated. The calls were nonstop, and once my shift ended, I joined my fellow authors in trying to verify every zone was in a state we were sufficiently prepared to unleash upon the world. Julie had to get an uber to the airport as my shift was ending, so it was just me and a bunch of pushy cats. John kept trying to get treats, and since he kept hiding out in the bedroom and harassign Mim, she made a real mess of the bedding and nighstand before I could shut him out of there. I spent most of the night shuffling between the bedroom, the office, and the living room, getting one or two hours of sleep at a time, constantly checking in on the slack channels where Ryan and friends were getting the last couple of main-progression bugs stomped. It was not a restful night.
Sunday: for a change of pace, Julie suggested we get lunch at Boston Market. I forgot how discomfited I am by fast food potatoes and gravy, and my chicken sandwich was a real mess. We picked up groceries at Acme and came home long enough to take out the litter and get changed before walking to Phil's place.
Phil had his friend Nolan grilling excellent kebabs for us while Deep Space 9 played on their washed out projector. We played a couple of games of pool (lots of scratching), this Monopoly card game (I think Pass Go, Draw Two cards are a trap), a game of Risk (came down to just Julie and me, and she offered to give up once I managed to hold Asia while breaking her bonus for both Africa and South America), and a few games of Blokus (with new players in the mix, it's more fun to play sub-optimally and try to dig your way out of the messes you get into). I got to know both Nolan and Phil's girlfriend a little bit, but Julie apparently missed both conversations.
I played more Zelda after getting home, mostly working on the south-east sky map a little bit and resolving most of the Hateno quest storylines.
Steam:

This was the most recent time I'd played Kentucky Route Zero on PC in eight+ years. I think I played through most of it on PlayStation, though.

Only two tweets from Julie today about the number of sirens going toward southeast Wichita and the surprising differences in difficulty when it comes to dissecting two cadavers.
