Tuesday: it's a day in which some things went well and some things went poorly.
The good: decided to give TikTok a try, so I got up early to shave for a video, which played out as I'd intended. I was just as caught up at work as I'd hoped for the new week, and on my breaks, I followed the Grinding Gear boys as they continued day 2 of their playthrough of Metal Gear Solid 2. Julie went to POPE just before the end of my shift, meaning we got one of the tables we prefer, and I enjoyed my burger and fries. We ran into Katie as we were leaving POPE, and had a nice chat with her while we walked home.
The bad: my team had an unexpected project dropped in our collective laps, and I'm concerned that it's going to take an astonishing amount of effort to complete, so the next two weeks might get a little miserable. At trivia, we struggled with a lot of the movie questions from the 80s and ended up in the middle of the pack with 42 points. (The winners got 51.) Still running low on salad supplies, and John keeps scratching at me to get me to follow up, so now I've been up almost to midnight trying to get this entry posted.
Monday: had a busy day, after which we went to Stogie Joe's. Most of the usual waitstaff were out this week again. We were seated on the other side of the window from Jimmy's table. Julie suggested we go for pizza again; I needed no convincing. We ended up tying, but we barely won the tiebreaker round (by having the closest guess to the accurate number of Laurel & Hardy films, though we weren't close).
Sunday: another productive day at work. Before my shift, I cooked the meat and got all the ingredients into the slow cooker for our chili dinner. At lunchtime, Julie made eggs and toast and sausage. As my shift ended, I'd suggested we head to the gym, so we spent an hour there—on the treadmill, this time, as my preferred cycle machine was already occupied. I caught up on Zarf's recent game blog updates. Once we got home and cleaned up, I put on a season of Archer we hadn't seen while we ate, as we're not really invested in the show, and Julie wanted something lightweight on while she spent most of her focus assembling this LEGO kit she'd ordered. After a few hours of work, she'd successfully assembled our "Perma Pig", a life-size tuxedo cat reproduction. (Her nickname alludes to the fact that this LEGO kit will survive long past the natural lifespan of Isabel, a.k.a. Pigabel, our actual tuxedo cat. It's a little morbid.) When I started falling asleep, she switched the TV to watch more Enterprise. I finished Preach's 6.0 MSQ livestream vods before posting this update.
Friday: very excited for this week to end, even though it was technically only a four-day work week. I did manage to clear out most of my work backlog. For dinner, Julie made fried rice with shrimp, which we both really enjoyed. After finishing the evenings' activities, I played more Tears of the Kingdom: I finally started saving my favorite constructions to speed up rebuilding them, and I also made a few designs I'd found online that seemed promising. I focused on turning in some quests and picking up some shrines I'd missed in south-central Hyrule on the way to Gerudo lands. Then I played Hearthstone, where I'm a little dissatisfied with my warlock deck, but that's a deck I've been tweaking for years, so that's nothing new. Plans for the weekend: shopping tomorrow, I'll make dinner tomorrow night, and on Sunday, we're looking forward to taking a SEPTA shuttle-bus to a concert.

Friday: met up with Everoski at Bricktown Brewery. Apparently the happy hour pricing was pretty good. I wanted to try it again, but I don't think we ever went back.

@familyjules727 on twitter:
I shouldn't have read that cancer symptom thread on reddit. Now I'm convinced I have bone cancer in my left humerus.
Watching through season one of the Simpsons with Jason. I had forgotten so much about these episodes.
After seeing seven or so Sideshow Bob appearances Jason has just realized he is voiced by Kelsey Grammer.
Thursday: tornado warning in Sedgwick County. Julie said she could see a funnel cloud from work. We didn't lose pwoer, but the cable connection went out for a bit.
