Monday: high call volume today thanks to a flash sale for pre-cruise items like wifi and drinks packages. I've got a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning, so I wanted to get as much of my call volume out of the way today as possible, and I was pretty successful at that. Pleasant weather today, so Julie turned off the air and opened all the windows after she got home, and then we went to Quizzo. She was interested in trying a pizza incorporating sausage and broccoli rabe in white sauce rather than our usual soppressata; I'd have favored a little more sausage relative to the amount of broccoli rabe we received. Trivia this week felt like we were either getting softballs or obscure stumpers, so we were pretty consistently middle-of-the-pack for the duration of the event. We were seated at the table right next to the garage door, which they opened halfway through; it was a little reassuring to be able to hear our outdoor neighbors struggling with the same questions we found difficult. After we came back home, I drowsed on the floor for a bit before dispensing treats to the cats, after which I came in here to post this update and upload a bunch of bug fixes for Moondrop Isle.
Saturday: Julie made us breakfast of eggs and bacon before we drove out to Bensalem to go by the Kohl's near the office where she works. I picked up a new pair of jeans, a pair of slacks, a few polos, and some higher-quality tees that were on sale for Father's Day. We tried Friendly's for lunch, which felt like the regional Steak n' Shake equivalent. Back in town, we stopped by the store for groceries, but I shopped pretty light this time, focusing on a couple of key snacks and stuff for my Saturday dinner (instant-pot goulash).
At some point after our trip home, a fire under one of the bridges on I-95 caused the bridge to collapse, so we just missed an awful traffic scenario. Julie's dreading her Tuesday commute and really hopes they won't need her to come in this week.
Back home, we played some Civ VI, starting another game in which Julie's pursuing cultural victory while I strive for religious victory. We decided to play a "true start locations Earth" map, which meant that as Poland, I was right next to Germany's settler when we started, and considering what a war-mongering troublemaker Germany can become, I just... kinda... eliminated them on the first turn of the game?? Not long after that, Basil II knocked Georgia out of the running, and once he came after me, I managed to seize his capital. This has made for an unusual balance of power; I have a feeling I'm much better positioned to spread Polish Catholicism than Julie is to make Canada the center of world culture, but Vietnam might be a difficult obstacle. We'll see, if we ever get back around to playing this game again.
I eventually got dinner going. For once, I didn't try to put a video on while I was cooking; Julie tried to entertain me instead, with mixed success. By the time it was ready, it was practically 9 PM, so we just watched our own videos for the rest of the evening. I jumped back into Zelda long enough to wrap up Outskirts Stable and pick up a few shrines I'd overlooked, particularly around Malanya's abode and other areas to the north.

Sunday: every summer, my employer hosts a luncheon at Sedgwick County Zoo. We'd go to whichever pavilion they'd rented, eat hot dogs and chips, then wander the exhibits. At today's event, we met up with Scott and Jenny, and we had a good time.
Saturday: it seems I was reminded today that Zoobilee Zoo existed. While I recognize the characters, I couldn't tell you anything about any of them.
Friday: we must have been going through old paperwork, because Julie commented on a note I'd made during pharmacy tech training (which happened like five or six years earlier): "The franchising department is to the business world as the reproductive system is to the animal kingdom."
