Wednesday: I want to try getting into a M-W-F schedule of updating this calendar. The 3-day gap is easier to fill when it falls on a weekend, and the weekdays blur together so much that I often have trouble distinguishing anything from more than a day ago. (Or worse, I forget to update altogether for days at a time.) Trying to establish a routine might address this.
This morning I got up a little earlier to try to go shopping and have lunch out. For some reason, I've been craving a McDonald's cheeseburger, which is just about the most embarrassing thing I can imagine craving, but it is what it is. On Twitter, Zaratustra had retweeted a profile on Emily Short, and it sparked a little bit of discussion on Select Button such that I didn't really leave myself enough time to get to the store. I still managed the trip, but I forgot to pick up grated parmesan, which Julie finds absurd because it means I have to resort to grating the nicer parmesan instead. I would justify myself, but I think I've already demonstrated my allegiance to convenience over quality earlier in this paragraph.
I was a little late to work, but not egregiously so, but work had the last laugh as I had to deal with call after call concerning convoluted financial research, most of them more than an hour long. My stats took a real beating today. I feel like the chicken sandwich I was able to make for lunch makes up for it, though.
Julie suggested I finish the goulash while she'll finish the kale and coconut milk soup she made yesterday, and we spent the evening watching the first half of this quasi-reality show Jury Duty. I got started on this update, but then I got distracted by researching why I was having problems setting up Inform extensions, and now it's like 2:30 in the morning.
