2025

Tuesday: lots of work, today. I came in an hour and a half early, and after dinner, I came back for another couple of hours, but at least I made a lot of progress on my groups. When my normal shift ended, I joined Julie at the gym for a quick jaunt on one of the old cycles, where I caught up on some of the updated Club Floyd playthroughs now listed at All Things Jacq. Once we got back home, we changed out the litter upstairs, and after we got the trash and recycling out to the curb, I started a load of laundry. Julie made spaghetti for dinner, and since she's trying to finish up her rewatch of The Simpsons with commentary, I just caught up on Grinding Gear videos before I signed back into work. I finished up maybe fifteen minutes ago, and now I'm posting this update before bed around 11:30.

2024

Monday: started my shift an hour early as requested, but my total amount of time taking calls didn't change; I took an extra hour of calls at the start of my shift, and an hour less of calls at the end. Julie had her flight today, though it was a little bit delayed. Just like last time she left, we had to take the comforter to the dry cleaner. I was really looking forward to getting out of work an hour early, but 25 minutes before the end of my shift, I got a travel agent call that lasted an hour and a half! Once I finally got out, I went into the bedroom and napped with Mim for more than 3 hours. Once I awoke, I went out and bought more cat treats at Acme just before they closed. I had half the leftover casserole for dinner, and I spent a while playing WoW to make sure I was getting the seasonal rewards for June before I switch over to FFXIV full-time on Friday. (I stayed up way too late after posting this update.)

2023

Saturday: stayed up way too late correcting metadata and adding the favicon to this site. Julie and I got Taco Bell for lunch before our shopping trip, and we got a great parking spot on our way back home. With the whole weekend ahead of us and no concrete plans, we decided to watch Hot Fuzz in the afternoon, and I kind of bounced back and forth between Hearthstone and working on my IF project. After we finished the movie, we went to the gym for an hour, had more chicken casserole for dinner, and eventually I logged into Final Fantasy XIV where my free company was doing high-level treasure maps. We took treasure portal after treasure portal, but we only got to the fifth invocation once, and I felt pretty bad that we wiped. I really need to get a non-melee job that I'm more comfortable playing in high-end content.
