Wednesday: another early morning heading straight into work. Julie had a happy hour meetup with a friend, so once I got out, I got into bed and made a tent for John for a bit. At Julie's recommendation, I made dinner for myself of some of my extra salad, and I watched some of Welonz's Deltarune streams while I ate. Feeling a little shiftless and hungry; I had to make do with minimal toppings to ensure my supplies would last the week. I should probably log into work or go to bed, but I can't quite work up the initiative for either, so I'm just updating my website.
Tuesday: how much sleep did I get last night? Let's see: after work, I crashed with Mim in the bedroom for about three hours, and then I got another two hours or so before the start of my shift. Between those two periods, I uploaded a fix for my Moondrop Isle zone, I went out and pulled a bunch of weeds, and I wandered semi-aimlessly around the apartment, satisfying John's frequent requests for treats. Despite the poor sleep, my work shift went pretty well, with a big focus on project time. I hope I have similar call volume tomorrow. After my shift, I indulged in a trip to Subway for dinner, and at some point in there, I watched the video on how to program my Honeywell thermostat and reset it to operate properly. Unfortunately, I think our central A/C isn't quite powerful enough to offset the kind of heat we're currently experiencing, but with the assistance of multiple fans, it's working out alright. Since FFXIV is going offline tonight, I finished clearing out my quest log, which meant finishing the ranged DPS role quest and almost finishing the Sorrows of Werlyt questline. I finally resolved to do most of the MSQ as machinist, so I'm not going to bend over backwards trying to level viper or pictomancer. (That said, I did prepare Wondrous Tails and unlocked Bozja questing successfully.) Bags emptied, armor dyed, and quest log cleared, I logged out in Poieten Oikos, as I'm expecting an out-of-the-way questing zone is likely to have less congestion when the servers come back online Friday morning.
Sunday: I was hoping we'd get more rain, but I couldn't tell that any fell. Julie took the lead in cleaning up most of the apartment, but I did get the litter and changed out the upstairs litterboxes. I finished the chicken casserole for lunch, and we spent the day doing our own things.
At 5 PM, I made an updated version of the orzo dish Julie had been interested in. I threw in roasted nuts, but that made it too similar to the old version for her to enjoy, so I'll hold those out of the main dish the way I do with basil on our feta/veggie pasta.
We continued watching Leverage, and we're into the third season. I put considerable effort into a prototype for a piece of my interactive fiction project, and I got all the main functions working about the way I need them to. I cannot explain how excited I am about this.

Sunday: on facebook, Julie posted a quote she attributed to me: "The Tree of Liberty cannot withstand the stamp tax."
I replied. "Let's be clear; the context for this quote was as I was trying to describe old-fashioned political cartoons, where they'd depict some ambiguous scuffle with a bunch of reacting bystanders labeled such Mugwamps and Carpetbaggers, and then the caption would be some withering comment like the one she quoted. They had a very particular look."
Julie: "Context ruins this."
Me: "The Tree of Liberty cannot withstand context."

Monday: we hadn't started dating yet at this point, but since Julie and I had been talking a bit, she posted on my wall about how it seemed all too appropriate that my name would show up on her stalker feed wtih a big red heart next to it.

Still working at Target and doing chores at home. Mom and Kelly went to that dance camp for a few days, and then Dad went up to Boundary Waters on the Minnesota/Canada border for a week. They're all back now, but Kelly and Mom will be leaving soon for a Las Vegas/Los Angeles trip, again for dance. In my own news, I was terrified my computer was having power troubles, but the trouble turned out to just be a loose power cord.
