Sunday: after my update last night, Mim appeared from the basement. Reassured that she was still alive (if refusing to leave her preferred hiding area while anybody else was around), I went to bed.
Kind of a slow start this morning. I drove us to Taco Bell, followed by Acme. With our supplies prepared for the week, we came back home, where I got the litter. Since the sanitation workers are still on strike, I just bagged up all our garbage and put it in a bin in our basement for now. Julie hit the vacuum and started on laundry, but once Mim emerged again, she barricaded the basement; my own laundry will have to wait until later. I eventually made dinner of goulash, which was quite good, if a little too hot; almost all the food waste ended up in the disposal (again, trying to minimize garbage production). I watched videos while I ate, but as soon as I was done, I signed into work to catch up on the groups for the new week. I might have stayed up a little too late, but hopefully it won't be an issue tomorrow morning.
Saturday: I hadn't had a weekend shift at the cruise company since I went to hour-long lunches prior to today. The heat in the apartment is consistenly above 85 degrees Fahrenheit, so I have been keeping one or two fans blowing directly at me. After my shift, we cooled off with showers before watching an episode of Poirot, which turned out to be "Dead Man's Folly". We finished the chicken casserole while we watched; I found the episode wasn't holding my attention much, so I spent a few rounds in Hearthstone catching up on quests. After the episode ended, Julie resumed watching Sex and the City (in which she watched the episode in which Carrie can't handle camping in a cabin, I think?). I treated the cats before crashing in the bedroom for several hours, and now I've gotten up after midnight to watch a Dawntrail stream as I dabble in MMOs myself.
Thursday: my plan to email INTRUST was successful, and I woke up to a couple of updates from the folks I used to work with. Michelle confirmed that the cat portrait I'd had at my desk had been left behind, but she indicated that Melisa was going to mail it to me. I was up pretty early, so I had a leisurely breakfast and shower before my shift started. Work itself was disappointing because, while call volume was low enough that I wasn't backing up another department, I had a series of demanding requests that required me to sink a lot more time into after-call work and follow-ups than I prefer. It meant I wound up getting out a bit late as well, but since my usual Thursday stream was cancelled, it's not like I was missing out as a result of the delay. I finished my salad for dinner, and before she went to bed, we cornered Koop and wrapped her in a towel to give her a sedative in hopes that it makes the vet trip tomorrow easier. I caught up on Hearthstone news, videos, and daily quests, but I stayed up too late, so I need to crash now.
Wednesday: this was my last day at the bank.
