Sunday: another morning of periodic drowsing. Slept through both my alarms this morning, but I got out of bed sometime after 9 AM. I had my first bowl of Cracklin' Oat Bran in several years for breakfast; I tweaked some Hearthstone decks while I ate. Afterwards (and at several other times today), I finished copying the info about team changes from my old phone lists into this website, so I could put those back in the drawer. Now it's back to copying old tweets.

Today's exercise regimen started with a walk up to Washington. This time around, we went down to 19th Street before heading back north. We evaluated trends in rowhouses. Julie hates the modern look where the brick building has a projection with metal siding: she says it reminds her of a shipping container, and it clashes with the older materials in the majority of the buildings in the city. I agreed, and I pointed out that even the buildings with patterned siding over the majority of their surfaces lose their visual appeal as soon as any kind of imperfection appears. It doesn't stand out as badly when the building leans into a less polished exterior. Along those lines, Julie mentioned another trend she's bothered by: the bricking-in of the hole where a wall-mounted A/C unit was removed. She doesn't like the break in the pattern.

Once we got to the stores, I carried the pet treats, while Julie picked up another floor mat for the entrance to the master bedroom. We considered getting stuff for the cruise, but we might as well wait a little longer before getting those supplies. We headed back down Broad to Tasker and home. Ate a quick salad for lunch and re-watched some TADC while I ate. I spent a little time on the bed tenting for John, but once Julie came in to rouse me, I left him on the bed so we could do our exercises. Today's routine was back on the eight minutes DVD, and we called it good after just abs and arms. John joined us partway through, somehow always lying between our mats right where we need to move our arms or legs.

A quick shower later, and Julie made dinner of mashed potatoes, stewed chicken with rice, and roast broccoli. (I tented with John again while she was cooking.) We finished watching Edgerunners while we ate, and afterwards, we looked up a couple of videos about Celebrity Silhouette to see what we were in for. (I really liked this tour by Scott, of Let's All Cruise.) After that, I treated the cats, and then took a call with Mom and Dad to hear how the 4th of July went. I logged into FFXIV long enough to do my Cactpot weeklies and send out my Grand Company squadron again. Nice weekend.

Saturday: started our day with a trip to Taco Bell, followed by the grocery store. Because of some slight budgetary concerns, I tried to minimize my grocery expenses, and I finally switched from bowls to plates for the nightly tuna distribution. When I drove us back home, we tried to clean the place up, and in anticipation of the resumption of trash service next week, I gathered the litter and brought the trash I'd been collecting in the basement and put it with the cans at the side of the building.

In the evening, Julie made a spicy curry with tofu and rice for dinner, and I spent basically the entire evening managing subscription services. I ended up getting to bed at like 3:30 AM.

Friday: didn't think I needed to go to the store, but I offered to pick up Taco Bell for lunch, and Julie found the idea acceptable. I did some dishes, played some MMOs, watched some streamers. The usual. For dinner, I boiled spaghetti and heated up garlic pasta sauce and meatballs, though I think I overheated the sauce a bit. Some slight scorching occurred. I thought we'd been doing pretty well with keeping Mim partitioned, but just before Julie retired for the evening, she urinated on the bed. Work resumes tomorrow morning, so I'm going to crash in the office momentarily.

Wednesday: got myself out of the apartment by 10:20 to run to the store, but backed-up traffic waylaid me. I ate lunch at McDonalds before running to Acme for bread, cheese, and breakfast bars. At work, call volume was a little high, but I got to work on my project for most of the day since my updates are on Wednesdays. Sunday's soup provided an adequate dinner, and BDG's Outer Wilds stream served for entertainment. I checked in for my Thursday-morning doctor's appointment, but I still stayed up 'til like 3 AM because I'm easily distracted.

Wednesday: took a photo of my parents' cat, Toblerone, in which he is lying in the door to the bathroom, which is intimidating John too much for him to be able to get out.

Tuesday: another new list of extensions was issued at work. Becca, Sarah, and Tyron left the department. The next list would be issued on August 12, 2016.

I played some FTL: Faster Than Light, but I wouldn't come back to it on Steam for something like a decade.

I downloaded an update to Windows Media Player that caused some problems. Apparently one of the commenters had the solution, and in the interest of preserving information, I've made the entry in question public again, even though this problem is now more than 20 years out-of-date.
